  1. I have always preferred to buy a new car, but when I see what some of my friends saving to buy a "new" used car (1-two years old with less than 10,000 mi) I will be a little puzzled about the longer worth buying brand new car?

I'm talking about up to 25% off on a car that has all documented services and less than 10,000 km. As we all know, the prices of used cars has fallen dramatically in the past.

I paid 1,270,000 for my Isuzu Choise 2012 model. See them now retails for approximately 700-750000, -

If you choose to keep the car 5-eight years time, so one has much to save to buy a small used car that looks like new.

    Your thoughts on this?

  2. I have Bangkok Bank, and want to transfer some money back to Norway.

I am using I-Banking, but when I click on the link to fill out the form it say:

"Sorry, your banking records indicate your visa status is “Tourist” or "Foreigners who are permanent residents in Thailand without work permit" you may not be able to apply or update your profile for the service via the website channel.
In this case, please visit your nearest Bangkok Bank branch to apply.

For further assistance, please call Bualuang Phone at 1333 or +66 (0) 2645 5555. (UI-81)"

So, what can I do about transfer MY money back to Norway, or is it that I have to spend MY money here in Thailand???

Anyone who can help on how to do?

  3. Have been thinking about a new bolt to 465.000, - A friend wants to sell a Yamaha Drag Star 1100 2009 model 40,000 km on the clock. He demands 320.000, - Greenbook and insurance. The bike is well maintained and has all services and original.

The price of the Drag Star seems reasonable enough.

Bolt is an urban cruiser, but I do not know how it will work on longer trips. Bolt seems a bit small, so I am in doubt whether this is the bike for me. Will borrow a bolt from a friend a little while on Wednesday.

    I previously owned a pair of Yamaha Road Star, a 1600 and a 1700.

    Any thoughts on this?

  4. Watchara had a display at the Burapha Bike show. Price confirmed at Bt465,000 and they have their first container of 20 bikes arriving in May. 15 black and 5 green.

I sat on their display model and found it to be very comfortable.

Can you decide how much you will pay in Down Payment, for example. 50%?

Anyone who can answer about the down payment?

  5. There is a 2008 Roadstar for sale on http://www.dealfish.co.th for 580.000 Baht.

Thank`s, but no thank you;-) He is not 25 years old and want a cruiser, not a chopper;-)

????? What are you talking about?? It is a 1900cc 2008 Roadstar, I would not call that a chopper. Are you sure you are looking at the right one?

Well, he want a original Roadstar/Warrior. Is this the one you referering to? If not, give me a direct link.

Road Star was not provided with a 1900cc engine, but had 1600cc up to 2004, when it received a new 1670cc engine.

  6. There was one around the Surin area that I organised a sale for a friend. The buyers name was Benkq and I've now seen it up for sale. Last time was at Freelife, Sisaket show. Probably a poster here.

Sent from my iPhone using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app

Where have you seen up for sale? Roadstar or Warrior? Year and price? Color and km?

  7. How hard is it to find a small house (furnish) in quiet area with 2 bedrooms and perhaps a small garden for rent on Samui in the price range around 15,000 bath per month? I think it's outrageous prices here on Samui, but there must be something more affordable?

Having looked at some different websites that Thai Visa and Bath Sold, but costs too much for me and thewife. Will stay as cheap as possible to find out whether we will like Samui. We've only been on Samui 2 times previously on "vacation" for 3-4 days (we live in Khon Kaen).

We would like to rent 6-12 months.
Do you have any recommendations on where we should start looking? Where on Samui would you rented in this price range that offers the most bang for your buck?

Someone who can help us please?
  8. He added that starting from August 29, foreigners who failed to produce their passports would be fined up to Bt20,000 and jailed for up to two years.

So where is this Immigration officer from ? Hua Hin Immigration "clarified" that it was up to 2,000 baht for not carrying your passport, but now this guy is obviously not on the same page as Hua Hin immigration ....20,000 baht or 2,000 baht for not carrying your passport ?

Do`s it matter where his from? His is the Immigration Division spokesman... Like ALL of Thailand;-)

  9.

20k baht fine if i dont show my passport or 2 years in jail?

    No, can`t you read?

"He added that starting from August 29, foreigners who failed to produce their passports would be fined up to Bt20,000 AND jailed for up to two years."

So you are saying that failing to show you're passport is an automatic jail sentence to go with a fine??? I don't think so!!!!

No, I am not saying that....  Immigration Division spokesman Colonel Worawat Amornwiwat said it;-)))

  10.

In before the 29 pages of "but my case is different than the hundreds of others asking about the same thing with the same details as me" posts that are sure to follow.

Of those 70k over-stayers last year (and 30k so far this year) I wonder how many are for over-stays of less than 2-3 days ? TAT claims 26.7 million tourist arrivals in 2013, so 70,000 over-stayers would represent about .0026% of that total (a quarter of 1% of the total). Doesn't seem quite the massive problem requiring draconian measures as it sounded before.

I might be wrong but 20,000 baht fine or 2 years in jail,,
