I don't understand why so many of these right-wingers get all worked up about who is using whose toilet. It makes me wonder just what they are doing in there that gives them such an odd fascination with what everybody else is doing.

This knee-jerk reaction against renewables is befuddling. I understand people questioning those big, ugly windmills, but solar is much less intrusive. Mostly, I can't understand how people would take a stand against energy that is largely free, has no pipelines, isn't subject to the whims of geopolitical clashes and sanctions. Leaking oil pipelines and toxic derailments aren't a problem with solar or wind. I've never heard of a sunshine leak.
For the big boys who need to play in the dirt, build a WATER pipeline from the great lakes to the Colorado River. Make the Desert Green Again. -

If you click my provided link you will see quotes from this book. It is absolutely VILE and disgusting, way beyond merely sexually explicit.
So, you find ONE example from ONE school that has a questionable book. From that brush, all LGBTQ people are getting tarred.

Anti-LGBT+ laws put in place by Florida Governor and presidential candidate Ron DeSantis have triggered a “mass migration” out of the state, a Pride organiser has said.
This comes as several transgender people are reportedly taking to GoFundMe to solicit donations to move out of the state.
Several Pride groups in the Sunshine State have cancelled their celebrations that were set to take place during the month of June after the new laws have left the community worried about possible blowback.

Well, let's start with your hysteria. Nobody is exposing children's to sexually explicit material. There are laws about sexually explicit material on the books, and it's enforced. Nobody is interested in your children from the LGBTQ community. Drag Queens are entertainers, they are paid to entertain. There is no evidence of grooming.
Do you think there were no precursors to the Nazi book burning? Do you think this was the first action against gays (and others)? First, they outlawed homosexuality, later they broadened the definition to make it easier to prosecute and increased punishments

Has anyone else noticed that when it comes to any discussion about Trump's misdeeds, the basic argument is ignored? In this case, the documents in question, were not his. He has stolen, illegally taken, or whatever you want to call the original 'crime.' He had no right to take the documents, and everything thereafter is criminal.

I find it interesting that these same right-wingers who seem to think that when only 1% of the population was dying of covid, it was no big problem, but suddenly the .06% of the population who identify as transgender are of dire concern.
Medical decisions for children are left to the doctors, the patient and the parents. That includes medical intervention.

BTW I do agree that in this day and age of air travel it does not make much sense to give automatic citizenship based on birth without any other criteria e.g. at least a minimum period of physical residency by the mother before delivery. The Constitution dates back to an earlier time. But it is not a huge problem and hardly worth the complex process of Constitutional Amendment.
I completely agree. He's just a person who has no respect for the Constitution.

Requires a 2/3 majority vote in both the House of Representatives and the Senate followed by a separate ratification by 3/4 of the States.
President has no role in this process. Never comes to him for signature and certainly cannot be done through an Executive Order.
So empty talk on his part.
I don't think Trump has much respect for the constitution, and it would appear that he has a Supreme Court that might not as well.

Well, I don't wish to get into an argument about who wants to go where, but 30% of Vancouver is Chinese for a starter. The group of people I am referring to were the wealthy Hong Kongers who wanted a second passport as an insurance policy against China. They largely went to Canada because they did not wish to pay US taxes. They also did not wish to live in either the US or Canada beyond getting a passport.
A few people from HK that I knew had their wives in Canada obtaining the passport while they remained in HK running their family business.- 2

And people who can afford $80,000 to give birth in the US are probably a good bet for having the means to immigrate to the US if they want. Like a lot of the HK Chinese who migrated overseas, they wanted a 2nd passport as an insurance policy. Many returned once they secured either US or Canadian citizenship. Canadian citizenship is more desirable because the US requires overseas income to be taxed if you are a citizen.
