  1. For McCoy, change will also need a shift in thinking. "Children do

not have the skills to balance out the psychological and physical

repercussion of commercial sex abuse," she said. "Children would

not volunteer towards their own exploitation."

Psychologist's get paid for stating the obvious don't you think? :o Thaimee.

  2. Yes, foodland sells. Look in the corner pharmacy and ask the chinese fella. In return could you try your best to get him really upset because he is a real tickler for expense. Try and get a good discount, he'll try his best, you try yours...

Hey, why not ask such a question in the Health and Medicine section next time?

I'm all upset now, anyway, hope you give up your filthy habit, you weak scoundrel!!

Thaimee. Don't smoke near me Quitter!! :o:D

  3. for the bulls...

    from Seamico Post Board

"Stocks in Thailand are now on average valued less then half of what they are in developed countries. Yet, many pay more then double in yearly dividens (some triple) of what they yield in developed country stock markets. Most of all, most listed companies on the Thai SET exchange here are growing 2-3 times faster (in earnings and revenues)then the more stagnent developed markets. It can also be added that (again on average) Thai companies balance sheets are in better shape then in 15 years -and have far less financial leverage (loans) then many firms in developed markets. While this is a generalization it is true as compared to the US most EU and Australian bourses..." Paul Renaud. thaistocks.com

  4. for the bear's...

    from Seamico Post Board

Since I predicted a fall at 770 level (because end of the cycle), my mind didn't change. I also said to come back when we come under 600. At the moment we are in a correction phase (up from 576 to 650) and then we take the next steep step down in the 400-450 area. You can make some money or reduce loss up to 650 but please do not forget to sell. You can buy much cheaper later. Keep in mind: In a downtrend like now the market just rebounds to get bids so big guys can sell more. (The Foreigners did not sell for 62 BillionBaht this year to buy back now. They want to buy back cheap, very cheap). Comments welcome Good luck. Q.Mark

  5. Back in the Uk buying Scratch Card's is a good business for Charity...

In Thailand Gambling is forbidden, but then we got the state lottery, so...

Why can't Thailand go one better with scratch cards if we have the former?

Perhaps there's a reasoning or logic for not having Scratch cards? No money?

    Thaimee. : :o

  6. Buying property is usually done for emotional rather than rational reasons (Man's home is his castle, etc) but in this country (as others have pointed out) owning land/houses here is an extremely dodgy game for foreigners.

IMHO, I Agree. However, although you may be spot on, I still would prefer to buy a house out of emotional necessity than starve the craving for bettering one's living standrads. As a young couple, I don't think we would be that disadvantaged.

I'm all too weary of the property sector in the Kingdom having many pitfalls, that is if one makes even a minimal error. Error's made buying in the wrong location or say wrong neighbourhood, may mean selling a house is difficult for whatever technical reason.

  7. This is another farce to add to the list, so why didn't they invite more chauffer's to gamble then?

Gambling appears to part and parcel of everyday life in the Kingdom as life is short of any creture comfort's.

It may be gambling, it may be drinking or just plain tom foolery on motorcycles, in my opinion it will never stop...

Thaimee. [Can't you buy Cards in 7-eleven for say 200-300 baht anyway's?] :o

  8. If the deal finalises, which it looks like it will now, I can only say i'm thankful that the whole episode didn't drag on for weeks and I am thankful that all parties concerned reached a general satisfactory conclusion. Thaksin's Liverpool.. :D

As for Thaksin wanting to buy other premeirship clubs, where will it all stop? :D

Thaimee. [so much for my predictions, sorry!] :o:D

  9. Morgan withdraws bid

I am a proud supporter of Liverpool but feel that the uncertainty and constant speculation surrounding their future is undignified for the club and their fans.'

I feel the same as Morgan! Truly, how embarassed is Thaksin? Thaimee. :o
