tracking of where people are when sick people turn up
Sick people shouldn't be turning up if testing was being done ????

are these contagious as the coronavirus is ???
Well said... Millions die every year of preventable non contagious reasons but that is not important and also not as convenient as this "virus"...

Its only a good idea if they start testing properly, otherwise it's not for Covid tracing but something else...

I used to have a Rottweiler for 10 years, so there’s that! It’s none of my business, but if your dog was trained properly he would obey you no matter what.
Not necessarily true. When dogs go into attack mode their is a switch that goes in the brain, can't do much until that switch has reset. My Bangkeaw made a mess of a little poodle once and I could do nothing about it until he lost his grip on the poor wee poodle. Even then it took a minute or so before he came out of his "trance" !!
Before anyone starts, he was on a lead but the poodle sneaked up to say hello from behind us. Maybe my fault for not being aware of it.
Snakes didn't stand much chance against him tbh..

Yes, a QR code and a PVC screen are not going to prevent much spread.
As above, there are hundreds of surfaces that can be touched and no amount of cleaning between customers is ever going to make it 100% safe.
That's why we have developed immune systems !!
Space the tables out a bit, get staff and customers to wash hands and wear masks (debatable).
Much more than that and it's not going to be financially viable for the majority of small restaurants.

What title does the land have ??

Help! Does any one have an ideas?Yes...
If the sliding door is the inner door then just drop a piece of wood into the rail (broom handle for example) to prevent the door sliding open. No need for a lock then.

Not allowed... Criticism of big bad Bill gets removed from a lot of media very quickly..

Facebook, Twitter and thaivisa etc forum do same. Google, TOT etc know.
All optional... But if you are not allowed to enter a shop, without QR scan, I guess that's optional too !!

ps. How much your KaoPad Crab?
So you won't go into any business premises that doesn't have this new QR scan ?? I don't believe that.
50 or 60 baht I think, need to check with my wife ???? I know crab meat price seems to go up every month !!

Contact tracing is required to manage covid outbreaks
That is true but it is pointless without wide spread testing too.
So unless they plan to (not just talk about) carry out wide spread testing, this is just more data gathering.
@Yinn They aren't watching us but they are gathering as much data as possible, from what you spend your money on, where, with who, what you sold on Marketplace, business info, favorite meal, medicines you need etc etc etc.. Some people are happy to give them all this information, others are not so happy. It was optional, but now it gradually becomes mandatory.

This is what happens when 7-11 staff squirt customers in the eye with sanitizer.
Now we need robots to dispense the stuff "safely"

Not sure where you are located, but much of the country would pay B500-800 per day for masonry labor. So, your ballpark estimate is 1 m2 per day???
I'm located somewhere where block work is more expensive I guess. Suratthani province. It's a ball park figure I have which is an average for this area includes skimming.
Boreholes here are in the region of 150k depending on depth, whereas up north they seem to be 15-40k !! Go figure...

Thanks - this is helpful.
I put approximate... I don't really need the how long is a piece of string answers, I understand prices can vary... and I am looking for a wall not a shrubbery fence...
That would be block work only plus skimming.
Painting would be extra

Correct.. The government doesn't care about any foreigners living in or stuck outside Thailand.
That's the wisest thing you have said for a while...
For your future replies, I wear a mask in Singapore as it's a $300 on the spot fine if not wearing one. I don't really go to bars as a habit and don't drink at home either.

I can just look on my CCTV app to see if our restaurant is busy...
Customers can see from their car when they pull up.
Don't think we will be registering.

Do a Trump and get the neighbor to pay for it ????

The death rate per million is important show how terrible.
thailand .08 per million. Belgium 900 x worse, US 400 x worse. Big problem.
Not accurate though.
For sure some countries have been classifying lots of deaths as Covid, even when just suspected. Why they have done this is a big question.
Likewise, sure some countries (Thailand included) have been classifying Covid related deaths as something else. Again, they must have their motives.
The only thing we know for sure is numbers everywhere are skewed.

286,000 tests in a population of 70 million is not a lot. Australia, pop. 25 mil has tested 1,000,000.
Australia also closed the gates early and, apart from letting the cruise ship of death dock in Sydney, has done a great job of keeping imported cases minimal.

Yes those pesky privacy laws... Don't worry, there won't be any privacy laws left by the end of this year.
But if it saves 0.01% of the population, majority being old and sick, then lets give it up...
