Just what the education system needs, another on-line uni degree not recognise anywhere in the world.

I've watched my missus play this inane game for quite a while and have noticed that almost all of her Facebook posts are generated through the game. (or should that be 'Face'-book.)

She told me people like to build up the biggest farm to gain 'face' and show others how clever and industrious they are.

It is so important to them that some will actually pay a 'hacker' to do the work for them and claim it as their own.

I suppose if it's good enough for a university degree it's good enough for Facebook.

I've just sent some money to my Thai account and as per usual I selected 'send Aussie dollars' as I had heard ages ago that this was the way to get a better exchange rate.

However, this time a message popped up telling me,

I've just applied on line with this company for a mate who's going over in five weeks time for three months.

He got charged $110 through the travel agent last time so we thought we'd save him a few bucks this time.

Despite both of us checking the information as we entered in the required fields, after the payment was processed the detail page that came up had the wrong year of birth on it.

I sent them an email straight away asking them to change the date but in the small print it states that the info cannot be altered.

We are positive we entered the right info so it appears something funny might be going on.

Also after completing the process up pops a page stating that because it is a three month visa there is a new rule saying that we will not receive the 'letter' until a few days before his flight.

Seems a bit suss to me.

Has anyone here had any similar problems with this crowd before?

Back in Oz for the winter I want to cook up a few Thai dishes. I found pla ra in a Vietnamese grocer and it's pickled mud fish which I'm looking for but it's a grey colour .

I want to turn it into the dark version by adding shrimp paste and other stuff to make naam pla ra tom.

Anyone know how it's done?
