Demolished?? This wonderful structure could be used to house swallows, and harvest swallow's nests for the Chinese customers. They love the soup from swallow's nests and it is more healthy than eating bats.

Don't they have nothing else to do than creating big projects, which will flush huge brown envelopes in the hands of the already rich? How about getting rid of poverty and decent free education in this country?

Prayut is absolutely right, but he forgot to mention, that the ongoing abductions and murder of dissidents ruin Thailand's image even more.

Tonga and Vanatu are definitely low risk countries. But I doubt, they want to swap their beaches with those in Thailand.

How is accusation of 'modern day slavery' an honest review?
Your remark is completely out of context. Think before you write.

Think about those, who are living here and are well aware of the defamation laws. They cannot write an honest review of a hotel, even when they find unsupportable sanitary shortcomings, which pose a health threat to the customers of the hotel in question. They could write to the management. But as in my case nothing happened, though the letter was written politely and constructive, besides not accusing anybody. I decided to leave, for the aforementioned reasons. But I could not write my experiences on Trip Advisor, thus warning others, or force the management to remedy those shortcomings. Happened to me in Hat Yai.

I too recall that proposal, 300THB would be sufficient to set up a fund in which a tourist is completely covered for his/her time in Thailand. They can just add that to the existing airport tax, which is nowadays also included in the ticket price. The profits of this insurance scheme could go to these underfunded state hospitals, or be fed to the gangsters running this country.

Foreign tourists back in Pattaya?
One of my friends, who got stuck here in Thailand, just visited Pattaya. I suppose they saw him.

I believe they say eligible, but in reality many do not qualify for some for loop hole that goes against them.
Thank you for the clarification, still working on my English.

Those who are going to school daily will receive nothing. The parents will take care of them. OK. But those, who go to school only one day a week, because they normally have to work, they did not receive anything either. They were sent away with the explanation: You are going to school.
Disgusting.

I remember the story of a Russian woman who got fined a lot for having a sea shell wind chime at her house.
...those chimes are being sold on Songkhla beach mostly by muslims by the thousands.

I would have thought they slaughtered the cows in NZ and transported them that way.
This is animal torture, and nothing less, transporting cattle over the seas. That should be banned worldwide. I am surprised that NZ still allows it.

There is a lot of truth there.
That said, I have come across some offices that are no go's.... Hat Yai and Mukdahan.
"Friendly" offices.... Lopburi and surprisingly Phuket Town (but maybe I've been lucky there).
Well, I live now 16 years in Hat Yai, and I made solely positive experiences at the Hat Yai immigration. Towards me they were always very obliging, courteous, friendly or whatever positive adjective you might want to choose. Even when the waiting room was full, I received a "service with a smile" The ❤️Hat Yai immigration❤️ is another reason for me not to move from Hat Yai. Once at the immigration in Kota Bharu, they treated some other tourists not so very nice. But they appeared with a tank top and shorts. Well, I believe, appearance and manners has something to do with it.

There are zillions of companies from everywhere advertising i.e. on Alibaba.com with very competitive prices. If you want to order, they ask for a prepayment of 25% or a "handling fee" for a sample to be sent. Their website shows pictures from a different producer/seller, its huge buildings plus fake recommendations. After cashing in, their ad disappears, their telephone numbers do not work. A short time later you can find a similar website with different phone numbers and location. If you google their address, with google maps you may find them in a paddy field, or on a scrapyard. And this happens everywhere on this world, yes Thailand too.

We must not forget, that the Royal Navy has maintained and paid an active submarine division for almost 70 years, but has not one submersible ship. Now after all that time, they want to stop twiddling their thumps and insist on that new expensive toy. I believe that the navy should dissolve the division immediately.

According to the documents of the Fisheries Department of Thailand, back in the sixties the average amount of fish caught in the Gulf of Siam in one hour was 360Kg of fish. Today it is 18 Kg per hour. No further comment.

Thailand needs more Stryker armoured infantry carriers, subs, attack helicopters, and the recent purchase of 600 TATA army trucks shows, that the Thai government is confident, that it can solve the tourism problem too, but kickbacks first please. Though a lot of money could be saved, if the Government pays kickbacks directly to its generals and politicians without purchasing new weaponry. Why not enact a corresponding law? Then there would be more money to help the tourism industry.

Now they just have to take the final step and red list him with Interpol
They won't. Finally all involved got paid and want let the dust settle down. The Boss is off the hook, and it will stay that way. Deputy Attorney-General Nate Naksuk is cleared and will enjoy his retirement and the envelopes. The self imposed PM mentioned lately his "concern", but "...will not interfere in the judicial process".

According to this site: https://www.prachachat.net/breaking-news/news-507835
The changes will come into effect 120 days after they are published in the Royal Gazette (so not this year), and a big bike is classified as 400cc or more.
That means for a SR 400 with 21HP you will need a license and a Yamaha MT-03 with 42HP you do not need a license. Thai logic.
