What Are 5 Things You Wish You Knew Before You Came to Thailand?
1. That I can be an idiot. Should have known as there were plenty of signs earlier on. But being an idiot.....

Dear OMGinPattaya
You just don't seem to get it in some ways. Trump knew (or should have known) he was on a "reality" show... cameras, recorders, etc. If he had half a brain and could control himself (evidently he couldn't) he would have kept thoughts to himself. This campaign shows he can't do that. Always trying to impress whomever he is around, classic narcissist behavior.
And yes, many men do talk like him. But they are not as stupid as he has proven to be regarding "locker room banter". To me, more disconnect from using proper organ for thinking, lack of impulse control.
Even if Bill raped Mother Teresa in oval office, that is not compelling reason to put another of similar standards into White House. Like saying "Not as bad as Hitler, more like Mussolini"

Should improve cash flow up to the headwaters, however

"...offered his apologies for inappropriate behavior of certain groups of British..." Like walking on beach in wee hours?
Had series on Australia+ "The Embassy" that did cover activities of Australian Embassy here. May have been slanted a tad, but did show them helping clueless losers and regular folks, so not beyond realm of possibility embassies could help some of us groundlings.

And people wonder why I don't own a motor vehicle....

" They are simply deliberately creating laws that cannot be abided by." Brought to mind sections of Chris Hitchens book, along with "not knowing what the law is" as definition for totalitarian government.
What if someone goes camping? Do national parks do tm30's? or if just out in the boonies?

Even the "real stuff" is fake....

"... to cause damage to the local tourism industry;...."
I'm pretty sure that is one of those professions reserved for Thais only.
-
I think it has to do with upgrade of immigration, tourism and police. Cheap brown envelopes to be replaced with nice modern white ones.

Same here. Own condo in Jomtien and signed lease in Bangkok. I'm mostly in Bkk during the week as my son goes to a school there but I am in Jomtien most weekends.
Do you report to both Chonburi and Bangkok immigration?
My lawyer says I shouldn't answer that question....
-
I want to know how the heck they got visas for USA, tourist or otherwise. From my experience, and those of friends, regarding obtaining visas for Thai women has chance of snowball in hell.

Own condo in Jomtien and signed lease in Bangkok so not to hassle with tm30 and potential problem for gf. Yet these immigration brain trust types only can handle one place of residence. I use address, and spend most time, in Jomtien (and immigration soo much closer). I have belief immigration in Bangkok not quite so intense on looking for a way to skim us for more cash than here. Made me think of Firesign Theater album "How can you be two places at once when you're nowhere at all?" or something like that....

Evident from photo he was pixelated to death.

If she loses (considering connections and how law applied, likely outcome) I wonder if a crowd raising fund could be started?

haha. Love it. Find a leak in the system and then try to plug it.
Like drilling a hole in bottom of boat to let the water out....

"... they don't look like Lifeguards at all as they surely aren't dressed like Lifeguards! "
Dressed head to toe, is something looks like dark blue burkini, then vest with X dayglo "lifeguard" written one. Along with shoes, hat etc. Figure would take several minutes to get out of that, if they happened to notice someone in need of aid. In Jomtien I usually see in clots of 3, faces in smart phones, paying zero attention to sea... you mean those guys?
Place they really need lifeguards are streets and sidewalks... someone to guard your life
-
"... cheating a man out of $20,000 through a fake joint venture to print counterfeit money last year."
And we're talking REAL money.... "You can't cheat an honest man" comes to mind.... or at least a bit more difficult

Good for him owning up about being duped. Has Noam ever owned up to his own BS on this?

Can use virtual savings to buy iPhone? Better be virtual: if real, one of the teachers probably take the cash and say "So what cha gonna do about it?"

As there is no valid evidence, zero, zilch, nada, that spirits exist, I would suggest a different cause for death

China says "Jump!"
Thailand says "How far?"
"Thai authorities received a request from the Chinese government about his visit." Maybe he was on a "zero dollar" tour?
-
" Chinese drivers are now prevented from using the nearby Friendship Bridge 4 to enter the country from Laos. "
Anyone here a reason or excuse why not? So much for friendship....

Agree the "trick" that works is learning the subject matter. Seems if they put half the effort into learning the subject matter that they spend instead on how to learn tricks and ways around the exam, they might, just might, be able to pass.
