Best of luck on implementation of social programs that actually benefit the average Pakistani as opposed to enriching the ruling class and their friends. We need more leaders who actually are focused on working for their constituents and the average man and woman. Kudos.

However, no Biology classes for students as that may teach them about sexual reproduction which is now banned indefinitely for all student in Thailand at all times forever.

I taught English to teachers in Korat who had Masters degrees in English. Trust me, this is about the level of their comprehension. Essentially the puuyai teacher is always right even when they are completely clueless! You can teach them correct grammar and they will ignore what was taught and continue to use the same incorrect grammar that they will insist is actually correct English because that is what was taught to them by another clueless Thai teacher with an M.A. in English. Wash, rinse, repeat...
"Ohhh, Kruu Connda - I right. You not right. My way better maak maak."
<headshake> 'Suit yourself.'
Looks as though your student was doing fine. Oblivious Thai 'English' teachers abound. It's pretty much a loss of face to admit that they aren't teaching 100% correct English.
The blind leading the blind in most cases - sadly.- 2

You'll get arrested, fined, you will be imprisoned, you'll lose the gun, and you'll pay compensation to the person you shot.
It's probably best that you don't have a gun. That way you'll stay out of jail. Buy the German Shepard. -
Not to worry. With Trump attempting to implode Turkey, the resultant contagious looks like it may spread to the emerging markets. Thais as well as their banks are overextended with debt regardless of how healthy the Thai central bank claims their banks to be. So if emerging markets become a route, you just may see your GBP go back up in value significantly.

I've never heard of a Thai driver accepting responsibility for an accident as all accidents are either caused by someone else or by a mechanical defect. Like the boy who cried, "Wolf", it's sorta difficult to believe. But considering that the truck driver didn't run away, it could actually be true.

According to a recent report from the Lao Ministry of Energy and Mines, hydropower development had two primary purposes. Firstly, it is to promote economic and social advancement by providing reliable, clean and affordable domestic power supply. Secondly, it is to attract foreign investment and earn foreign exchange by exporting electricity.
They missed the consequences of destroying the ecology of the Mekong as well as destroying the livelihoods of tens of thousands who depended on the Mekong for subsistence. But the globalist would dictates that long live profitable corporations and the people be damn (no pun intended>.

Now, in the US anyone who lavishes that much attention on the American flag is labeled fascist right-wing wing-nut.
I wonder what the difference is here in Thailand? ?

Agreed - ban the Pheu Thai combined with putting the thumb screws to a generation of Thai students, including university students, will simple galvanize public sentiment against a military junta whose main interests seem to be wielding authoritarian power and remaining in power indefinitely.

This is akin to a third-party independent winning the presidency in a two-party duopoly such as the Democratic-Republican duopoly of the United States. Trust me, he scares the living daylights out of the global status-quo. Cue up a Western campaign to disparage and unseat him and his party in the near future. Watch Reuters, NYT, et.al to start vilification campaigns shortly. And considering that India has pivoted to the US sphere, watch for increased Indo-Pakistani tensions to arise. That's not a pleasant thought for those of us 'down-winders.'
And considering that the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is already in place he'll no doubt not be asking for assistance from the IMF as Asian countries begin to turn inward for economic assistance and integration. It's a new world. We live in interesting times.

But once the Junta is fully dug in like how China has done, no one can do anything about it.
I understand what you're saying, but TIT, which is to say "This ain't China."
Historically Thais eventually shake of the yolk of military rule. And I think this current myopic action by the junta will be adding fuel to the fire.
I'm being optimistic here, but I believe they are setting the stage for the rise of a civilian government in the future that will take steps to shackle the military's ability of ever stage another coup. I could be wrong, but it will be interesting to watch it unfold.- 1

just another nail in the coffin for 'FREEDOM' in LOS
Actually I think it's more like shaking a bottle of soda water then pounding a cock in the top with a hammer. Most Westerners can immediately see how that would work out; most reactionary Thais, such as a narrow-minded, authoritarian military class, cannot.
Over time, the results of this action will be the antithesis of what they expected.- 2

What they are doing now will incite a behavioral change to revolt in the young students generation. And honestly, if my kids swung in an anti push back, I would support them to do so. This old fart junta better watch out.
These student will eventually become a voting block in the future. Can you imagine a generation of disenfranchised students who have been squashed beneath the thumb of an authoritarian regime? Eventually the graduates become adult members of society and start working towards the exact opposite of the type of ruling class that took away their basic rights of expression and association when they were students. And the current regime thinks that Taksin and the Red Shirts posed a problem? Just wait 5 year to a decade.

There are solutions, but like traffic laws, there is little or no will to enforce them - nor does it seem that there is sufficient expertise in the area of traffic and municipal planning to fill a thimble.
Thailand is a solely reactionary society. Here, any individual wearing the title of 'Planner' is actually a walking oxymoron. Or if such a unicorn exists in modern Thailand, then good long-term ideas generated by forward thinking and knowledgeable academics and experts are no doubt quashed in the name of politics or though the machinations of implicit corruption.
There is a lot of hot air expelled in the area of Democracy Circle in Thailand, but naught in the way implementation of long-term solutions that actually work.
Me personally? I don't live there. I really don't care. Big cities are a novelty to visit on rare occasions when time is readily available and 'leisure' it the word of the day.- 3

Hummm, mounting modified S-300 systems on ships? A2/AD in the Straight of Hormuz. Should be mildly interesting. No more civilian airliners getting shot down perhaps.
