  1. He needs a medical intervention. He definitely has a problem. Anyway, I'm sorry to hear this. I hope he gets help. Time to quit the bottle - or needle of vape or whatever he's hooked on. Might be a blessing in disguise.
  2. You notice that Berkshire-Hathaway in very heavy in cash? There's a reason. You want to be in cash when the market goes to hell.
  3. That tells you what "daddy's" real plan has been all along, 'eh. #DraftBarronTrump
  4. Bad News for Trump, bad news for all retirees Bad News for Trump, bad news for all retirees who are heavily invested in the Stock Market. There - fixed it. Ya'll make the assumption that "all retirees" hold their investments in stock. Diversity is your friend. My hedges are keeping my portfolio stable compared to the general market and I'm moving upwards as the war heats up. I find it funny when those guys who brag about themselves being "Rich" compares to all of us lowly "Poor Cheap Charlies." I've always have said, "The winds of fate are fickle." By the time this is over, the "Rich" may be poor and the "Poor" may be rich. That's life (that's life), that's what all the people say You're ridin' high in April, shot down in May But I know I'm gonna change that tune When I'm back on top, back on top in June I said that's life (that's life), and as funny as it may seem Some people get their kicks stompin' on a dream But I don't let it, let it get me down 'cause this fine old world, it keeps spinnin' around I've been a puppet, a pauper, a pirate, a poet, a pawn and a king I've been up and down and over and out and I know one thing Each time I find myself flat on my face I pick myself up and get back in the race That's life (that's life), I tell you I can't deny it I thought of quitting, baby, but my heart just ain't gonna buy it And if I didn't think it was worth one single try I'd jump right on a big bird and then I'd fly I've been a puppet, a pauper, a pirate, a poet, a pawn and a king I've been up and down and over and out and I know one thing Each time I find myself layin' flat on my face I just pick myself up and get back in the race That's life (that's life), that's life and I can't deny it Many times I thought of cuttin' out but my heart won't buy it But if there's nothin' shakin' come this here July I'm gonna roll myself up in a big ball a-and die My, my! -That's Life, Frank Sinatra
  5. That's been part and parcel of US foreign policy as long as I've been alive: Create as much chaos as possible and wait for regime change. Except when the chaos is global economic chaos which also affects the US 🙄. Aren't the plebs suppose to "rise up and take their country back?" Well, keep you eyes on Australia. It just about to get real in that petrol-free island country of ex-prisoners & ex-gaolers. Taiwan too. Most of the world soon. US included. And when Western politician’s hatred of Russia and Russians meets gas & oil shortages - for the plebs of those countries??? Suddenly austerity trumps global politics. Then the common man is looking at the elites who hate Russia and refuse to buy Russian oil & gas, and yet who themselves suffer no austerity and are still driving and flying in private jets - then Mr. and Mrs. Commoners being to realize that their gas needs are more important than the elites' Geo-political hatreds.
  6. And we hope that we don't wake up to the glorious headlines that Israel just did this 👇to Tehran. Although, I've no doubt that many members here probably want it, but they really are too stupid to see the follow on reaction on the rest of the nuclear arm world. If Iran gets nuked, the fallout drifts to (nuclear-armed) Pakistan, the UAE, Qatar, Kuwiat, KSA, Azerbaijan, Armenia, (nuclear-armed) Russia, (nuclear-armed) India.....Thailand....(nuclear-armed) China. You get my drift?
  7. More than a year. The damage to South Pars will take 2 year or more to fix.
  8. Filipinos are pretty savvy regarding the United State's colonial past in their country, and my guess? The average Filipino/Filipina are probably not too happy with Trump, and by extension, the average American at the moment. Here in Thailand? Different. The inhabitants of the LOS just are not that aware of what happens outside of Thailand. The problems that Trump has just created will more likely be blamed on their own government's actions or inactions in response. I'm really not worried about Thais suddenly developing a hatred toward Americans because of Trump. Anyway, I'm just as unhappy with Trump as they are if they actually get around to blaming the affects of Trump's actions in Iran on Trump, no less Americans in general.
  9. Like their Roman counterparts, the United States Empire is very good at creating deserts in foreign lands and then calling it "Peace."
  10. The non-existent tourists who are coming to Thailand in planes without jet-fuel will be charged 300 THB when they land. Got it!
  11. Every religion: Thou shalt not kill Except for the Church Of Trump.
  12. Probably not going to happen. My guess is that the Iranians are going to use the "Hotel California" defense. Trump has the 82nd Airborne and 31st/11th MEUs and is sounds like most of the Special Ops. So expect Trump to engage in a massive bombing campaign and then put the troops on an Iranian beach like one of the islands. The Iranians may just invite them in: "You can check-in any time you like, but you can never leave." Once on an island, use missiles and drone swarms to anchor them in place and then bleed them. Then Iran 'WINS' simply by not losing.
  13. All countries whom the United States and its allies call "enemies" are also regularly called "terrorists" by the US and their allies as well. Interestingly, those same countries who the US and their allies refer to as "terrorists" have now picked up the gauntlet and now refer the US and its allies as themselves "terrorists." Why? The shoe fits. Gaza 👇 video_2026-03-28_12-13-17.mp4 Hiroshima 👉 If any other nation on Earth whom the US calls "enemies" did this, the US would label them as "War Criminals" and "Terrorists."
  14. I imagine that Hegseth thinks Mark Twain's The War Prayer is a template and not satire. "O Lord our Father, our young patriots, idols of our hearts, go forth to battle-be Thou near them! With them, in spirit, we also go forth from the sweet peace of our beloved firesides to smite the foe. O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with their little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it-for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen."
  15. Hegseth is both racist and misogynistic...and I'd be surprised if his IQ was over 100. And this public display of rejecting all international rules of behavior that were established after the horror of World War 2? This "We Don't Have Any Rules - Maximum Lethality" like bombing little children in schools? Yeah - he's racist and misogynistic - and a War Criminal.
  16. Of course he is, he doesn't have all of the military elements in place yet. It will be about one more week, and given Trump's perchance to front-run the stock market, I'm assuming the fireworks will start after the close of the NYSE on Friday Apr 3rd. Being a veteran who lived through the Vietnam era, I've got a good idea how this is going to end for the entire world. With that said, I'm going to back out of these commentaries as there is a subsegment of this forum who support war crimes in the name of Making America Great Again. I consider that sick and psychopathic. There is no reason to debate them. Most of them want to slaughter every Muslim Arab and Persian in the Middle East and probably will cheer the US/Israel used of nukes. May God help you people who actually want this war. So I'm going to kick back, prep for the worst here at home, and watch. I'm out.......
  17. Thais get a tourist visa and then stay as long as they like working in Sanctuary Cities like LA and North Hollywood.
  18. Very nice - victim blaming. Create agitation propaganda, spread it on your domestic MSM, bomb Iran, blame Iran.
  19. Can't blame then. Here's the pattern that is now stuck on "Replay:" "Iraq was destroyed. Syria was destroyed. Libya was destroyed. And now the same thing is happening to Iran, for the second time in a row." — Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov on the US pattern in the Middle East. Add Afghanistan, Vietnam, Yeman, Somalia, Sudan, and a host of other countries that were bombed or overthrown. It's pretty much summed up in this quote by Neo-con historian, Michael Ledeen commonly referred to as "The Ledeen Doctrine:" "Every ten years or so, the United States needs to pick up some small crappy little country and throw it against the wall, just to show the world we mean business." And there you have US foreign policy in a nutshell. Their problem is, however, when from excessive hubris they pick peer and near-peer adversaries and attempt to "throw them against the wall...". The US went into this with no planning other that Trump's "gut feelings." Iran saw the writing on the wall after the US supplied Iraq with chemical weapons during the Iraq/Iran War, and then in 2003 after Bush Jr decided to use the now discounted "Weapons of Mass Destruction" as a casus belli to attack Iraq (where US troop now refuse to leave). Now the US uses all of the same excuses that it's used to attack Libya, Iraq, and Syria in order to justify attacking Iran. Yeah - I expect this to end badly as it always does for the US as Iran has been planning for EXACT this war for over two decades.
  20. @spidermike007 That's the way it should be. You and I disagree with numerous things on the domestic front, but I respect your opinion and the thoughtfulness behind your posts. Unlike a subset of AN members who wade into a thread to drop slurs, ad-hominid attacks, and just stoke as much chaos as they can by attacking any position or narrative which doesn't fit their narrow, oft-times bigoted, world-view. The worst of these I just put in my ignore list as I can't abide by serial trolls who on a good day use single sentences full of vindictiveness and enmity for one purpose: However, I do appreciate debate and well constructed points of view, which can sometimes swing me to see things through their eyes. Case in point: Trump being a serial liar. Yeah, I see that now in Panovision and Deluxe Color. In fact his entire cabinet does as well. That's not the way to run a Republic. @fredwiggy We definitely disagree with what is going on in the ME, but I don't dislike you. You like spidermike007 are at least thoughtful and articulate about your position. I appreciate that.
  21. A question for anyone living in Pattaya, especially if you live in a condo. WHY? Why do so many foreigners end up flying off of Pattaya condo balconies. It's just too many to be coincidence. What is the reason?
  22. So goes the US propaganda. Any entity who is not US allies are "Dictators and Terrorist who kill their own people and 'threatening the families of young children unless they take their sides...' blah blah blah." I've heard it 100 times before an all it is is cover for attacking other countries, overthrowing their governments, and taking their resources. I forgive you for being brainwashed.
  23. Those troops have not left the GCC or Iraq. They are not on the bases, so where are they? This is in the public domain. I've pulled with from AI searches. Question: "Thousands of the roughly 40,000 US troops present in the region at the start of the conflict have been relocated. They are now operating from hotels, office spaces, and other "expedient" or temporary facilities in the Gulf. Some personnel have been moved farther away, including to Europe." Can you provide sources from Mainstream news outlets? Primary Source: The New York TimesThe most detailed account comes from a March 25, 2026, NYT article titled "Iran's Attacks Force U.S. Troops to Work Remotely". Key excerpts aligning with the quoted text: Iran has bombed U.S. bases across the Middle East in retaliation, forcing many American troops to relocate to hotels and office spaces throughout the region, according to military personnel and American officials. There were close to 40,000 U.S. troops in the region when the war started, and Central Command has dispersed thousands of them, some to as far away as Europe. Many have remained in the Middle East, although not on their original bases. Troops have set up “expedient operation centers” in hotels, office buildings, and other temporary (“alternative”) facilities. This has created a situation where much of the land-based military is effectively “fighting the war while working remotely,” except for essential aviation crews. nytimes.com The article also notes logistical challenges with these dispersed setups and references damage rendering multiple bases severely degraded or “all but uninhabitable.”Supporting Coverage CNN has reported on the relocations and Iran's subsequent threats, noting that U.S. troops have been forced to stay in hotels and office spaces across the Middle East. Iranian officials (including Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi) have warned that such civilian facilities could become “legitimate targets.” edition.cnn.com Multiple outlets (including those citing the NYT directly) confirm 13 U.S. bases heavily damaged, with troops shifted to temporary sites, and the overall pre-war troop level around 40,000. bbc.com Reuters has covered related aspects of base strikes, casualties (including early reports building toward the confirmed 13 U.S. deaths), and the broader force posture adjustments in the region. There are your sources. You can go to the individual MSM outlet and verify it. The IRGC is also asking the public to identify where the troops are hiding. "Iran's strikes on military bases have forced a large number of U.S. troops to participate in the war remotely from hotels and office buildings, reports show. Analysts point out that U.S. bases in the Middle East have inadequate defense systems against Iran, an adversary equipped with advanced weaponry unlike previous enemies. Iran is leveraging its regional advantages, including receiving tip-offs from local residents on the locations of American forces." https://en.sedaily.com/international/2026/03/26/us-troops-work-remotely-from-hotels-as-iran-exploits-tip When things go south for the US troops, Americans who only get their news from single sources within the US will be asking, "How Did This Happen? We Never Saw It Coming!"
  24. Exactly. The typical Iranian will never be able to withstand the might and power of the US War Machine! You've summed it up!!!
