Western Europe has become a madhouse, run by fools.
They would get a UK lawyer to say they get travel sickness and are a conscientious objector. ????

Not really, many drunk people get banned.
Yeah right I've not been banned in Thailand but got banned from clubs in UK but never pubs.
All down to drinking too much, I blame the building trade I worked in for 34 years. ????

You can tell from what I write that is hardly the case. I mentioned being a big reader of psychology, for 30 years. that doesn't equate to naive.
3 years reading is usually enough. ????

And even if the girls have a half decent education and a job, many of those jobs don't have a good salary.
One of my favorite bar girls was an accountant. Before she worked in a bar she worked in accounting. According to her she had 16k salary. Not enough to pay for a decent school for her son. So she looked for a sponsor and found one in a bar.
Good post too, many here have closed minds and they don't understand some life situations for girls/women in Thailand.

So worth about 10 million baht?
That is 10,000+ loads of cum she has taken?
Or she went more the gold digging route?
There are always some exceptions, but most are there because they have no money.
They are still human beings whether you like it or not and have a choice to do with there life as they wish.
Men make make me laugh as it's ok for them to go with many women as they can but it's not OK for women.
I know 3 more who have Europe and English husbands, one of the reasons why they were working a bar and hoping exactly that would happen.
I would say there's at least 5 reason for many of the girls that take up that kind of work.

Bob, I think you are expecting too much from them.
If they were smart they wouldnt be bargirls in the first place.
Even if they were not smart but hard working they wouldnt be a bargirl.
Being a bargirl is a job for the unintelligent and lazy.
Disagree an ex-bar girl I still hear from owns a beaut 3 bedroom house near Hua Hin and a 530e sport BM.
As she always said to me it's business.

We did similiar but a smaller area.Cleared everything, sprinkled coarse industrial salt down (cheap) then layed heavy plastic and covered the whole area with decorative rock that we had. Pea gravel would work to.Maybe slabs would be less expensive. No sign of weeds so far.
Yeah any sign of weeds over the years can be dealt with easy, OP best put his hand in his pocket, save a lot of agro.

I’m not sure if this is the correct place to post this .My Thai wife’s retired widowed mother lives alone in a small house that has an enclosed walled back garden and due to her advanced age she is finding it increasing difficult to look after this back garden . The mother is adamant that she does not want any locals coming to her house to help look after her garden . I and my wife live too far away to make regular visits to help out with the garden maintenance.
So I’m looking for ideas to help help the mother out with her garden area. I was thinking that if the garden area was cleared of its existing weeds / bushes , at first that would make the garden area look a lot better , but in time due to the mother not being able to physically do any work on the garden , the weeds / bushes would then just return and the cycle of having to keep clearing the garden area , would start all over once more.
I’m trying to come up with an option where by the garden area can first be cleared of the existing weeds / bushes , then do some thing to the now cleared garden area that keeps it free of weeds / bushes and looking neat and tidy.
Concreting the whole garden area would be expensive.
Covering the area with some sort of decorative stones , would not stop the weeds/ bushes from returning.
Applying weed killer would kill the existing weeds , but the now dead weeds would still need to be removed on a regular basis .
So basically I’m looking for an idea that will remove the existing weeds / bushes , then keep the garden area maintenance free along with looking neat and tidy.
The garden area is approximately 14 X 15 M
One other factor is that the mother has 2 Thai dogs who stay out side the house and of course roam around the walled garden area and do their business .
Any ideas, thoughts or suggestions please .
.
Cut all down, put thick plastic sheet wall to wall, lay large concrete paving slabs.

that reply makes you sound like one of those farangs that takes shortcuts and can't meet ALL the requirements to be here long term. Also why should those on O, whether it be marriage or retirement, receive preferential treatment to those on O-A. The health insurance should be mandatory for ALL long term visas, and agents should be declared illegal.
Envy is not a nice trait in a person if you don't like it, you know what to do.

Guess you're lucky in your choice of victims.
Those days are passed I doubt you would just let someone take a swing at you without defending yourself I don't understand some people's reactions here.
After years Thais in my village are my friends, police too.
And you don't seem to be the kind of of guy who would be disrespectful anyway.
