  1. I believe as do people where I live and my Thai friend also, he got CTPL because be thought that was a sensible thing to do, he didn't have to. As and when the Thai DLT makes them required to have something he will do what's required then. The police around us don't bother because there's nothing in law about them other than looking at them as a bicycle that is battery propelled. There's 4 and 3 wheel electric powered carts and many 3 wheels electric taxi carts where we live, the taxi guys supposed to have licences for being a taxi but many don't.
  2. I would say yes of course you just have to arrange it with your pensions providers.
  3. I was here in Thailand when my Thai wife was entitled to a percentage of my UK pension and serveral other benefits on my demise as a official certificate of marriage in Thailand is recognized by the UK gov. Now some years on UK pensions and entitlements for Thai wives has been discontinued. Private pensions and other type of pensions can help Thai wives if arranged by the husband.
  4. Been like that for over 20 years as far as I know. My CB400SF with its green book from a 100cc Wave and number plate was CTPL insured. ????????
  5. Never come across a Thai mechanic like that, also I wouldn't think OP who seems to know a bit about scoots will let anyone change parts that are not at fault.
  6. So why wasn't Ukraine's problems that went on for 8 years important to the US, UK and EU.
  7. Yeah an expensive one for a Jag. Ford carbs were a nightmare on our escort vans the coating inside them them came off and blocked jets and caused problems, so I had them replaced with single Weber convertion kits which were quite straightforward.
  8. If sanctioning is misplaced then for sure that is a crime in a manner of speaking.
  9. I guess so, if you don't do what we want we will put sanctions on you, what else is it seen as.
  10. Heard a report today on France 24 the some countries are opening Rubles accounts in Switzerland.
  11. Yeah I would like an air-con garage. ????
  12. Thai immigration kept giving me 30 days while my UK passport application was held up in the covid pandemic. HMPO was shut for a good while.
  13. I use to have my bicycle insured in UK not sure about Thailand. For a bicycle no CTPL I assumed OP was referring to electric motorbike.
  14. In ans a slap on a small child will in some cases create fear or rebellion. Talking to them is the best way IMHO. I was expelled from secondary school because a teacher hit me. Prefects in our school were not allowed to hit anyone. There's no unruly children in my book if there is there's something wrong. A brat you refer to has a incapable parent.
  15. If you are a single male then stay away, if you have a wife ask her if your bothered and do what she says.
  16. No need for Thai DL but you can still get cover with CTPL 343 bht.
  17. My wife has our Isuzu truck in her name she only has a m/c DL.
  18. My friends one is cool, I had a go and it packs it on acceleration it's a 1500 w pack does 40K quick. I go to his restaurant this evening and if his there I'll post a pix.
  19. Well with electric problem like that the only way is checking through everything with a multimeter for live wires, ground connections and switches. 12v bulb tester is just as good.
  20. Sounds like it will be involved if Ukraine is trying to involve the country.
  21. Pebblemix is available here in Thailand seen it used many a time around swimming pools for one example.
  22. Bad workmanship and frankly I wouldn't pay them until they put it right.
