OK yes I understand where you're coming from the 1•9 Vs 3•0 in auto will be a different in kick down. If I drove the 1•9 auto I would use the auto shift manually to get a better response. With our manual 6 speed shift you need to use the available 4200 revs more than you would a 3•0. 1st is only really needed fully loaded. In 2nd put your foot down and the rear wheels spin and in the wet can be dangerous with the back end becoming out of control. 3rd is a good responsive gear and 4th is the gear to drop from 6th if you want a powered overtake. 5th is as much of an overdrive gear as is 6th. The turbo is better than the older 2•5 & 3•0 lumps it seems to me. In Europe they offer a bi-turbo which what it needs in my opinion for 5th & 6th gear use. The Isuzu dealership here when we were buying the truck I asked could they order a bi-turbo model for me, they said there's no such thing. ???? My Vigo 3•0 auto 4D was a excellent truck but road tax was 7000 bht, fuel kilo's averaged around 10 to ltr where as the Isuzu is 1200 tax and fuel averaging around 15 to ltr.

The auto can be used as a manual unless things have changed since my Vigo auto.. My truck is manual.

Well learn how to drive a smaller cc vehicle nothing wrong with the power floored in 4th.

My 1•9 is cheaper to run and performance is not a problem having the experience of owning a 3•0 Vigo before, go figure.

Yeah for OP to post about what Thailand can do is silly, and world leaders like US, UK, France, Canada, Brazil say that have contributed more than than Thailand, China, to the state of the world atmosphere in the past for many centuries as it is of today and asking for cut downs it a joke in my book.

I only try to be fair as a car of it's day MGB 1800cc was a nice car. Overdrive on 3rd & 4th I liked. Never had any trouble with it except the wire wheels needed truing from time to time. Fitting new clutch plates was an easy job. Family arrived so sold it at a good price had certificate when I bought it that it had been undersealed by a company. Got a Rover 3500 auto which tuned out to be another great car.

Thai traffic light colors...yellow, amber or orange ?
Kwasaki replied to MikeN's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
Yellow is what Thai DLT calls it, in UK it's Amber. Reminds of my first time I got my Thai DL's I said Amber and the DLT guy no understand. ???? -
Good story of a close one. ???? As I always say when going for a ride out "Are you ready to dance with the devil ". Had close ones in UK mostly drivers turning from side road left or right onto the main road. The closest I have had in Thailand is on my Versys when coming to a blind hill on narrow 2 way road and I always automatically think keep more left and sure enough it certainly saved me when a funny enough Fortuna was overtaking coming the other way. I reacted going more left and his wing mirror swiped my jacket of my right arm so that was close. My mate behind hadn't been riding or driving long in Thailand so he had learnt something that day. Had a couple of overtakers on small 2 way road at bends too which were similarities to the video but only have far as possible left avoidents other than literally off road. ????

It's been like that for years even before I came and don't see anything being done. It's up to the new generations of Thais to do something about it. What Prayut says and what he does is what politicians do, I have no further opinion on the subject.

You are missing the point. I take you are a falangie in Thailand and will be happy to ride a 2 wheel powered bike without insurance and hope you don't have an accident. ????
-
That's exactly how I think our local Cockpit does my Isuzu which takes 7 litres they Mobil 1 which is ideal for any truck or car. As you say the cost is too little to consider doing it myself. B. Quik are OK for oil changes to alledgely.

You are not really thinking this through are you.

What is it with loud exhausts ? (and tail tidy's)
Kwasaki replied to piston broke's topic in Motorcycles in Thailand
H.D. owners and bigger bike owners with older bikes would not agree with you its an unreasonable and unfair thing to suggest. ???? -
I don't know what your trying to say if you think the motorcycle rider did wrong your not a experienced motorbike rider.

Selling car but old passport in blue book.
Kwasaki replied to YorkshireTyke's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
If you took your new passport to immigration they put the number of your old passport in the new passport in stamp on a page. Take copy of that.
