Kwasaki replied to nigelforbes's topic in UK & Europe Topics and Events
In UK you can still be seen by a GP. Emergency treatment is also available. Why don't you just have regular check ups and look after yourself if your so dam worried about UK hospital care. -

Comfort for me has nothing to do with it I can find lots of nice empty roads and I can distance myself from danger, what will be will be, when my numbers up it's up. I just use my experience and skills to stay alive, I will still say stats or no stats I still find Thailand a pleasant place to ride and safer than UK. Ride cities here is something I do not do. -

Go to other dealers, APS in Suk if buying say the new 160 Click, will register, insure and tax for free. The scoot was very flash 70,000 red and black job. They offer a voluntary insurance from memory was 2,300. 1000 discount on a decent helmet. -

Motorbike deaths in Thailand high yes but to compare to say for example the UK is ridiculous. Access to motorbikes for Thai people is easy to see and notice making statistics incomparable. -

My girlfriend is a nurse. -
When the nice UK took away stuff I made provision for my wife by building some appartments which will give her a bit more than she would get from my UK pension. My wife has 2 café restaurants in the historical park as well so she will be OK when i peg it. Our son will make and take care of things when my wife is old too. So I feel I done my best.
-
Well there's nothing left for a Thai wife but you can continue to enjoy a frozen pension if you end up in that situation. ????

The Thai wife getting a part UK govt pension based on UK husbands NI payments was done away with too if living in Thailand.

Kwasaki replied to henrik2000's topic in Central Thailand
The best car cleaning place we use is in Baan Na just before Muang Kao post office coming from New Sukhothai. They will collect and deliver back if your locally situated. There are serveral car clean places in New Sukhothai you only have to ask where. -

Sukothai Hist. Park lit up Saturday Nights till 9 pm?
Kwasaki replied to henrik2000's topic in Central Thailand
Well 8 years ago and now not same, covid messed up a lot events and lot of places still shut. Muang Kao is still relatively quiet in the daytime and evenings. It is very busy around the Historical park area during this holiday period as always. Weekends at the park can be busy sometimes as well all year round. No parties on a big scale anymore like there use to be only people's private parties. There's a market in the park at night until about 9pm. I would have to find out when park stays open at night and puts lights on around the main temple areas. It was every Friday and Saturday evenings. As a rule Muang Kao ( Old Sukhothai ) and the park are all shut down at 9pm and the only activity is around the two 7-11 shops. New Sukhothai has new beer and snacks places built and live music but the music mainly caters for the young. There are many restaurant places open and scattered about the city. Our recent visits to Chopper bar showed it not to be busy at all, Friday and Saturdays seem to be the only busy times they still have a one man band live music sometimes but play western music over speakers mostly. There's the Heart Lake area that use to have concerts, again I would have to ask somebody. You mentioned Phitsanulok that is a much bigger city which has numerous places to go.
