Simple answer, the waiting time for a white car is usually zero weeks, black for example there is usually a three month waiting list, you want the car quick you paytheprice, based on my own experience after shopping for weeks, and backed up by Thai friends who sell cars for a living.

Yeah Iam in the process of buying my second black vehicle in as many years and the first one was 5 weeks and this one will be 4 weeks.

When my card expired a couple of months back I went to my nearest Kasikorn, not the branch where my account was opened, with my passport and bank book and ordered a new card and picked it up a week later.

Hate to break the bad news, when your work permit is cancelled so is your non B. You have to leave the country that day. 500 baht a day overstay upon exit. You can however request a 60 day extension to visit your wife. Better get to immigration quickly, good luck.

By the time you have paid for work permit , visa and annual renewals, Its not worth working in Thailand. But its the same in all third world countries.

I'll keep that in mind when my employers pays for my next 2 yearly work permit and extension......... not all of us are earning peanuts.
