  1. Mongers, a dying breed, too skint, low sperm counts, effeminate, wa****g to porn in their council estates. And the hookup sites have made things so easy back home. Soi 6 doing rather poorly compared to the good old days. Have you noticed no other tourists about?
  2. BigStar

    shopping

Aliexpress has shops selling extra large clothing. Otherwise, order from Amazon and be done with it. Fit better, last longer, and generally higher quality.
  3. No, in OZ private practitioners can do all of those useless procedures, better; the total cost, considering airfare and lodging as well, will be less than in Thailand from Thailand's incompetent fools. Just an excuse and self-delusion.
  4. Bigoted condescension. Obviously, communicated the same way the Poms did: landlines, pay phones, letters. Plenty of landlines in those days. Never heard of Bangkok? Villages had them as well. I had one in Pattaya.
  5. Kinda blows our narrative that the rules are only enforced on farangs.
  6. Not exactly. The 90-day address reporting rule's got teeth, as these Chinese discovered. It's also possible to do it online.
  7. Disappointing, ain't it? We want more blood & injury. Where's the entertainment here? Pfft.
  8. No. Being forced to move to the darkside to avoid victimization by water hooligan attacks is indirectly just another kind of forced participation--"dry," but much more expensive and inconvenient. You done repeating your imagined point, or need a little more help getting out of the loop?
  9. So, who's hittin' the gym? Gearing up for the effort here. Shower, finish my coffee; post-workout protein shake chillin' in the fridge. A little light reading I ran across today for a little inspiration: Effects of reducing sedentary behavior on cardiorespiratory fitness in adults with metabolic syndrome: A 6-month RCT Influence of resistance training on muscle architecture in older adults: A systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials
  10. In the women's forum? Seriously? Observation bias and false judgment ("wrong"). Lot of independent women in Thailand, and a women can choose to be independent if she chooses. My gf has a management position in a company and her own money. Never asked for a baht from me. One could argue, BTW, that Thai women are simply less brainwashed and able to retain common sense in their own, and men's, best interests. As The Redheaded Libertarian explained today,
  11. No, you're forced to "participate" if your route happens to take you near the hooligans. Think she chose this dangerous "fun?" Watch me crash her motorbike! Hee hee! I chose not to be forced to participate and my life did NOT continue as normal. And this was the case w/ most Pattaya expats.
  12. I was in and out in 15 min today for my retirement extension. No hassle at all, IO's were as nice as they've always been. This was at 1 PM. Just inside the street entrance, left side, is a waiting area with seats for receiving a ticket for the retirement extension queue. I waited a couple of minutes in a short line. I was given a ticket with '8' written on it and told to go inside to desk 8. No line at the building entrance. I went right in and immediately got a queue number. As I approached desk 8, a young IO grabbed me and we sat down to go thru my papers. Mine are all neatly typed and signed, including the Overstay Penalties and the Terms and Conditions. Phone number is typed in where they normally want it. Bank copies signed, bank letter I got on the way in. Nothing else needed, so he gave me my passport claim chit and told me to come back Monday after 2 PM. Easy peasy, no hassle at all.
  13. Today the IO said that since my 800k is in a fixed account, I needn't return in 3 months. 'Course, I wasn't going to return anyway, but nice to have his blessing.
  14. Sounds like low T is at the root of your problems. Get on it, man. Lots of families come to Pattaya, esp Russians and Chinese. Expats also raise families in Pattaya. You seem lost in time warp. I did too. And I'm still having fun.???? Pattaya's a great place to be for quite a number of reasons.
  15. ANF Poster logical thinking about Thai logical thinking. Western thinking, the numbers speak for themselves.
  16. Come down to it, he's just another of our lads havin' a bit o' fun like all the rest. Nothing to see here.
  17. Relevant or not, average users are gradually adopting Win 11. Seems nobody cares if they are but you. And, going around in circles, you've merely come back to my original post: About which you needn't have wondered, as I stated my reason clearly right there.
  18. And as noted low carb diets have always mandated whole foods, specifically including veggies as one of the whole foods. It appears you don't really know anything about low carb (very few here do), yet typically want to express uninformed opinions or implications about it. Go read the primary sources themselves, as I have. So that's about it, my point made; believe as you wish, based on uninformed or biased popular opinion. I'm already involved in a tiresome little bickerfest with a naive agenda-driven member over in the IT forum and that's enough for now.
  19. Predictably, our old keyboard warriors immediately turned the topic into a Thai-bashing thread. But the OP was spot on. It didn't promise champagne on a beer budget, however, as we'd all much prefer. Me, been happy living in Pattaya for over 2 decades. Gettin' ready for a walk on the beach now. Russian hotties! ???? Enjoy the bashfest.
  20. 10 has been the most stable version of Windows I've ever had, going all the way back to 95. Seen a lot of blue screens over the years. Part of the reason is that 10 is the best at finding drivers that work. It helps that hardware has become more standardized and reliable.
  21. Low carb, even keto, can be plant based, though they commonly aren't, as there's no real reason for them to be. Low carb did "whole foods" long before whole foods diets did whole foods. Whole foods were central to low carb diets from their inception. Mandated in Atkins, in fact.
  22. So every time you want to login here or to any other website, you gotta open VC, tell it the name of your file to mount (unless you save history), enter your password for your VC file, enter the VC container, then open the password file w/ editor or viewer, locate the ANF password, copy it, then close the file, close the VC container, go back to the ANF login screen, type in your username and then paste in your password. Comfortable indeed. What else is there to do all day?
  23. We've heard that for decades. Farang have been perpetually heading for the exits like rats deserting a sinking ship. All condo owners have always been desperate to sell. Say anything good about Thailand, and you're trying to talk up the market. All the ANF Poster Economic Indicators of Thailand's economic health have been perpetually flashing red for decades: the lights on at night count, shopping bag count, the red plates count, the lines at the bank count, the Stalls of Doom in front of the shopping malls. The INSANE rise in visa fees in 2003 started the mass exit of the great Golden Egg Layers. Without the provided Golden Eggs, Thais had to leave the cities and go back to working in the rice fields. Pattaya was pronounced Dead around that time, with portentous Dire Warnings issued in the Letter Bag of the Pattaya Mail at least 6 years before. With COVID, the Last of the Last Nails In the Coffin was identified with utter certainty. Are there any farang left by now? Yep, those few will soon be scrabbling among the ruins for scraps. Run, Forest, Run!
