I did it twice, though in one case it was nearly ended. In the other, it was only about 3 months old.

You can change the reason for extension anytime that you want to.

Legally speaking, you are correct. You do not need a degree in Chemistry, or even another Science, to teach Chemistry. But keep this in in mind: The number of Thai high school students studying Chemistry in English is just a tiny percentage of the total. If no qualified foreign teacher can be found, the students can easily be integrated into the regular Thai program where they are taught by the regular Thai Chemistry teachers. It is rare to find a completely unqualified foreigner assigned to the task. This is a reason why English and Mini English Programs are much more preponderant at the elementary level than at the high school level.
My comments do not apply to International schools. They bring qualified teachers from abroad,

Good morning,
- to obtain a Work Permit and 1 yr. Non-Immigrant "B" visa, you need a four year Bachelor's Degree. Any discipline is acceptable.
-bring the original copy of your degree and transcripts. For the latter, that means a copy signed by an authorized officer of the university, with an embossed seal, preferably in a sealed envelope. You are British; if you do not have the originals in your possession already, the process to obtain them can be long, complex and expensive.
- a TEFL/CELTA?PGSCE is not required to teach here, though having any of these can only enhance your employability.
-the Teacher's Licence requirements are all taken care of by the school, and indeed it can not be obtained unless you are already working at a school.

Giving your location (at least the region) may elicit replies from those with local knowledge. If you mean "Which banks have the most ATM's?", the banks are required to install ATM's in proportion to the number of ATM cards they give out. This stops banks from handing out cards while relying on their competitors for the ATM's. So, on a national basis, all of the big five should be more or less equal.

I know nothing about airline service to Mae Sot, so a couple of guesses:
- are they the only one that flies there ?
- do they own the airport there ?
Actually, my two guesses are two different ways of saying the same thing: monopoly

You probably won't be using it in every country in the world. It might be beneficial to state the country(ies) where you will be using it.

8 minutes ago, Fex Bluse said:
Honestly returning lost property is something that happens in places like Japan and Singapore and Taiwan and Korea and many Western countries - - WITHOUT FANFARE.
That Thais get all excited when someone is honest says alot about the average character of the country.
I couldn't have said it better myself.

I changed jobs three times. I was never asked to provide such a letter.

Your previous history is irrelevant. Your Extension of Stay ended when you left your job.

To the OP: Your point being what, exactly ? If you can find one person who will come on here and state that he once bought alcohol at a gas station compound, you will go home happy ?

They (K-bank) renewed my ATM card 7 months ago. There have been recent reports on here that they have recently become very difficult to deal with. That said, this is the first time i have seen "No ATM card" to someone who already has an account there.

A qualified "yes".
My experience:
Bangkok 15 yrs.
Chonburi (Jomtien) 3 yrs.
Amnat Charoen 3 yrs.
Surin 3 yrs.
Bangkok once summoned me to their office by telephone. I thought I was in some sort of serious trouble. It was a 4 hour round-trip. All they wanted was one additional copy of my passport. Couldn't they have photocopied the one they had ?
I once walked into the Amnat Charoen office, only to be told that their computers were "down". When I told them I had travelled 2 hours from my home in Roi-et, they got on the phone to either Khon Kaen or Bangkok, I don't know which. Everything was done over the phone, and I left with whatever stamp I had come for. Both Amnat Charoen and Surin have done free photocopying for me if I had omitted something.
In 24 years, I have had only one nasty incident, and that was in Surin.
They are human beings. If someone had a fight with his wife that morning, or just found out that he was conned by someone a day or two ago, you might be on the receiving end of his anger.

I think someone is conflating "90 Day" reports and "T.M.30 Reports".
- 90 Day reports should be done by yourself, to confirm your place of residence. These need to be done every 90 days. The clock is reset every time you exit & re-enter the country. If you have never been here for 90 days or more at a time, you may not have known about these.
- The T.M. 30 has to be done by the owner of the premises where you reside. It is supposed to be done within 24 hrs (or next business day) every time you occupy (or re-occupy after a trip abroad) the same premises. If you travel within Thailand this is done by your hotel, and you do not need to do one upon returning to your residence..
In recent years, some Immigration offices have been demanding that the occupant, (not the owner) file a T.M. 30 upon every return to the same premises, and fining him if he does not. In my view, this is illegal, but my view doesn't matter.

The best bank is the one that will open an account for you. This is often the hardest step. Giving your location might elicit replies from those with local knowledge. If Bangkok, give the name of your District, a major intersection or landmark building. It is a big city.

"Lead them through Brexit indeed !" Let's try "Show them the door". Given that Jean-Claude Juncker did not kick Britain out the door the door on March 30, 2019 as he and the European Commission should have done, my vote is for whoever succeeds Juncker. But, he or she has only my conditional support, and only until November 1, 2019

With full co-operation from both schools, you can make the change at Chaeng Wattana. I once did it, and had everything done in half a day. Your old school needs to hold your Work Permit open until the new school has all the required paperwork submitted. Once the new school has applied for your Work Permit, they will be given a form showing that the application has been received. (W.P. 3, I believe.) You can then cancel your old W.P. Save the receipt which you are given for it (Form Taw Daw 10).

The new rules started March 1, 2019, so it is too early to say.

What sort of Visa, or Extension of Stay, are you on now ? Are your current and new employer located in the same province ?
-
If Surin and Roi-et offer anything to go by, it will be both. Watch for recruitment posters around town. In Roi-et, they were up beginning about 8 months before the Robinson's opened. I remember thinking "Why are they recruiting so early for low level positions ? They will just have to do it again, a month or two before the actual opening."

Can I change my retirement extension to marriage six months early?
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Posted
I changed from "retirement" to "employment".
