Moderate the booze, moderate the language, keep away from the low life and you are unlikely to have trouble anywhere in Thailand, let alone Pattaya.

It has to be Massaman Curry which is normally a lot milder than other Thai Curries but delicious. Pranang Curry is also nice but order it without added chilli (mai prek).

Just an invoice, bill of sale or document stating and agreement to sell. Your Friend who is buying may need to appoint a Customs Agent to prepare and entry for lodgement with Customs for release. Duty and VAT may be payable. Certain restricted goods may need an Import Licence. Get it properly packed.

So the Vendors want to freely break the Law while the Police engage in money making activities to break it also!
Samui sounds like a lawless Island,.

Google searches show many companies are into this game. For Microsoft products get the Man to contact Microsoft direct and using Citrix or similar they can take over his PC. Might cost him about $90 U.S perhaps less in Thailand but they are experts and will fix it. He will need a credit or debit card.

No problem. Mine blew up after lightning. I replaced mine with an Asus DSL-N12U_C1 Modem/Router in just a few minutes. 3bb technical help desk should be able to tell you how to obtain the setup parameters including login and password. Print these details off and keep handy. Then access the new router's setup page which is a web page. Typically via the HTTP line it will be http://192.168.1.1 . Press Enter from the resulting display type in the new Login/ Password which will be in the manual supplied/ Type the same details as for the old mode/router. Save and reboot and should be on line again. Incidentally, some newer modem/routers come with a setup CD which largely automates it, You may even find that 3bb can supply one all setup for your ADSL connection.

Perhaps an over dramatized event. This is a Boeing 747 which can easily suffer 2 engines out in level flight. The drop of oxygen masks suggests the Pilot took the decision to declare an emergency and made a rapid descent to land.

To hold an Air Operator Certificate, He (the Company) must provide evidence of being a fit and proper person to qualify. This includes possession of sufficient operating capital to guard against disruption to service and having operational and engineering competencies to ensure air worthiness of its aircraft and there are many other details.
The timing is interesting since Thai is at the beginning of serious restructuring to avoid bankruptcy and is assured of survival only by the Thai Government. Where it not for this the Airline could not continue operating as credit lines might easily be closed for airport fees, landings, navigation, fuel and spare parts. There is a conflict of interest because Thai International, AOT (Airports of Thailand) and the DCA (Department of Civil Aviation are all under the political and financial control of the Thai Government. The ICAO probably is concerned at this because the Thai International could be given a softer ride than private carriers regarding the granting of the Air Operators Certificate. Given the level of corruption in Thailand, the worry at least, is that other Carriers might acquire the Certificate under the counter. There is no evidence in the public domain that any Thai Carrier has engaged in impropriety of this type, but if it did emerge, then this would be very serious indeed.
We are probably only days away from announcements that Thailand will formally request foreign assistance and face saving will just be too expensive in this instance. Either Singapore or Australia are likely as those Countries are the most credible in the Region.

Never give up on the Country of your birth and keep your home there. If your financial resources allow swap your cold Winters in Europe and rent six Months in Thailand.
Regulations in Thailand are forever changing and always be prepared to lose everything you bring. Don't be tempted by a pretty Girl to end up as meat on the table for herself and extended Family. If you do marry make sure the Lady is well educated so that you do not spend the Evenings looking at walls and ceilings and really not communicating.
Away from the big Cities Thailand does not offer anything except better weather and the attractions of normal tourism.
If you are an experienced and talented Business Person then much of this can be turned on its head. There is serious money to be made here but don't buy a bar. Often they don't make money but are a front for long term residence.

Bit short on facts. Was this one of the new Bombardier planes similar to the one which Nok Air had a problem shutting the rear door causing a delay to all on board including big wigs?

Wasn't it made clear last year that the Thai Authorities were imposing strict limits on Border runs and would take the kind of action as manifested in this case? My understanding is that if you have to do Border runs multiple times within the 12 Months validity, it has to be against "O" visas only/

Go for a German Liebfraumilch. It has a clean crispy taste and just the right degree of sweetness. "Blue Nun" is reckoned to be one of these best brands. Central Plaza in Pattaya likely has it.

This is Thailand. Start by having low expectations followed by low disappointment. Thai are just too complacent to test their links but quite quick to produce flashy eye catching adverts. Go in person. You might meet someone just as dumb on the counter!

Thaksin admired Lee's results but lacked the Formers ethics.

On the face of it, the aircraft suffered a severe cabin de-compression at high altitude affording little or no possibility for the Crew to maintain control. Early reports also indicate that prior to take off, maintenance had been going to fix a defective nose wheel door which would not close properly.

June and Jane's Massage, up the hill behind the Mosque

Ah you must mean the "Happy Ending" massage. In Krabi those places are very greedy indeed!

Years ago I did the circular route from Krabi towards Trang then branched of to Thung Son and joined the Bangkok Road to Surat. Stayed the night there and then Westward stopping at the Ratchaprapha Dam and Khao Sot National Park. You'll need another night stop for these two but well worth it. Then set off to Takua Pa where the 2004 TSunami washed a large Fishing boat 2k.m into the Town Centre. Then hugging the coastal road South for about 30 minutes before arriving at Khao Lak. Another 40 minutes later you can pass the Town of Thai Muang and if you wish, cross the Sarasin Bridge onto Phuket. These days you are better top avoid the long detour to Thung Son and instead join the excellent A44 Highway near Ao Luk to Surat. We enjoyed it very much - only one Hotel in Khao Lak in those days and o'h that hard seat of the Honda Wave!

Folks,
Where can I obtain a compatible (remanufactured) Brother HL-2130 black toner. They cost about £10 back in the UK but here in Thailand I can find only a Brother branded toner which costs around 2000 Baht - that's about what a new printer costs. I would normally ask Amazon UK to ship it out but the Airlines prohibit personal shipping of these items due to the Bomb laden toner being shipped from Yemen a couple of years back.
Thanks everyone!

The Ambassador has one concern only - that's the effect on Bilateral trade. Everything else is simply text book stuff.

If you don't need the video then install the LINE app on your android smart phone. After setting up the Account on the phone you can install LINE on your Android tablet on your Desktop or Notebook PC also. Free calls anywhere.

I've been informed that Thai Nationals returning to take up permanent residency are exempted from paying duty on their household items and even cars having been in use while abroad.
But leaving Hawaii to retire to Thailand. sounds unwise to me. Most Thais would want to go the other way.

Funny, but when arrested, most tell the same story in mitigation!
