  1. May not be much cheaper but CP would rather get end users into their other interests like Tesco Lotus and 7-Eleven. Yes CP have investments everywhere.

CP Makro is primarily for the Trade who use the wholesaler as a one stop shop; not just for beer but almost everything else to fill the shelves. In the UK, Makro will not allow non trade into their stores, but with the hammering they are presently getting from Costco, who are sweeping across the Country, that may change.

  2. I am keeping Win7. I am running win10 in a virtualbox. For those who have not tried it, it is easy and the net is full with useful tips. So far, I have seen no value in running Win10. Another example of giving the consumer something they dont need; in this case, for microsoft to set up a fairly enclosed but financially useful monopoly as Apple has done with their system and Apps.

Should have gone to Spec Savers!

  3. In the circumstances Russia chose not to ask Sweden for assistance. They would prefer to allow their Crew to perish than admit the Sub's existence in Swedish Waters and risk censure in the United Nations. The Russians probably hoped this vessel would lay undiscovered for many years to come. Bad luck!

  4. Good concept but it's down to economics. It needs volumes which can be sold and quickly before this type of beer goes off. It's not the same as Thai bottled and canned beer which can be stored for Months.

Once they get it right and attract Customer loyalty prices will tumble.

  5. Usual thing. An inherently unstable pickup truck being driven to fast on a wet road. Pickups are for business and need good loads in the back to help stabilise them. However much Manufacturers try to tart them up as sports vehicles they remain as of very old technology with live rear axles and leaf springs; no match for modern front wheel drive vehicles. The only real advantage for pickup vehicles is the under body sold steel chassis.

The Thai Government needs to set a level playing field by increasing the VAT on Pickup trucks to discourage their use by private individuals. It would not increase the costs to Companies who could reclaim the VAT through their business accounting.

  6. Is it possible that through the "back channels", which are never known to the public, that the U.S. told Thailand: "Buy the Chinese subs and we will screw you every possible."

And it's possible that the earth will be invaded by aliens tomorrow. But it's not very likely.

Nevertheless, it's a pity, I kind of like the idea of Thailand wasting their money on chinese junk.

You mean the type with sails on. That should be much cheaper.
