About 6 months ago I successfully used the international transfer option on KPlus on my smartphone, about 5,000Baht sent to awell known bank in England.
Ultimate recipient of the funds in England confirmed receipt of the funds (in pounds) within 24 hrs of sending from Thailand.
But this can only be used if the receiving bank is within the list on the KPlus app.
Good luck.
Thanks for the info. In the K+ app I see two options: transfer with account number via SWIFT and transfer with account number via KBank partners.
Is there a benefit to using one rather than the other, as far as you know?

They're certainly could be more to the story there's really no way to know at this point, it is all entirely plausible though not probable. The part about the police is totally possible, especially in Pattaya. They are some of the most greedy cops in the country.
The part of the landlord sounds extreme but it also sounds possible, he certainly should have had all his valuables locked up, if nothing else locked up in his suitcase, in which case either the police or the landlord would have had a steal or destroy his suitcase to get to any of his valuables.
if it were me and this actually happened I would be looking for major retribution against the Airbnb host, and would be looking to raise as much stink as possible online and in the media at home, as he has done.
The "more" to this story is that the same guy apparently (if the photos are actually from him - and if they're not then something is really off) told an almost completely different story to the Daily Mail just two weeks ago.
In the previous version of the story featuring photos of the same person, it was a case of overstay and having been shopped to the police by his girlfriend over a business dispute.
So as many others have pointed out, this story just doesn't hold water, in light of the previously-published, totally different version.

I think that's possibly because that screen is for when you're trying to keep your residence country as the US, and all you want to do is confirm your address there. It wouldn't make any sense to change to a different country in those circumstances.
To change your country of residence, as far as I can tell, you would need to go to your personal details and update them. When I try to do that, it gives me a choice of all the different available countries, including Thailand.

Sending how much? Western Union (Thailand) online can register online at home and then send 100,000 a time. Can send more if register in person.
It's more than 100,000 but I suppose I could send it in several chunks if necessary.

I'd like to transfer some money out of Thailand. I'm looking at using using some kind of online banking or funds transfer app.
I already have, Revolut, Wise and K+ (Kasikorn Bank) apps. I've only ever used Wise for incoming transfers, thus far.
Does anyone have any experience and/or recommendations on which would be better to use?
Or is there another different app which people prefer?

Assuming you use an Android phone, is it a standalone app that you use, or does it work through 'Google Wallet'? (Google Wallet won't work on my phone).
Are there any extra charges to either load it with money or for purchases? How about 7/11 loading charges?
Thanks!
There is a standalone True Money app that you can use, but you can also get it to work with Google Wallet.
It's a two-step process. First create a True Money virtual MasterCard (which is free to do) and then link that card to your Google Wallet.
I did this and can now make Google Wallet payments using my True Money account balance, anywhere that accepts contactless cards or NFC phones.
There are no charges when you top up the True Money Wallet, or when you pay.

Jack the Ripper was Polish
A RESEARCHER who says he revealed Jack the Ripper's identity has told of his joy at finding a 100 per cent DNA match with his suspect.

Of the five "canonical" Ripper victims, only two are thought to have been prostitutes. There's no basis for believing the other three were involved in sex work.
QuoteJack the Ripper killed prostitutes, right? Wrong. There is actually very little to suggest that three out of five of his victims were sex workers at all.

Thank you for reminding of your years of misinformation and propping up false narratives.
I don't think it's a false narrative to say Trump's tariffs will probably cost the American consumer billions.
Pretty much every single article I've read about this, agrees on the likely outcome.
Here's just one example, with a quote from the president of the US National Retail Federation.
Trump Tariff Proposals Could Cost Americans $78 billion
Quote“A tariff is a tax paid by the U.S. importer, not a foreign country or the exporter. This tax ultimately comes out of consumers’ pockets through higher prices.”

What am I looking at here?
Pretty sure that's a still (probably from a CCTV video) taken at or around the time of the altercation described in the OP.
Unless I miss my guess, the Irish couple would be sitting at the table at the very top of the image and a member of the restaurant staff seems to be running towards the table, presumably to intervene (since that is what the article states that they did).

No, disloyalty to the Commander in Chief is not called treason.
QuoteTreason in the United States is defined as waging war against the United States or providing aid to its enemies. It is the only crime explicitly defined in the U.S. Constitution.

Proving you are US citizen is very simple!
That's not necessarily the case. As the article below points out:
QuoteWhen you're locked up, it's hard to dig up a birth certificate or a passport or, in Garza's case, request a naturalization certificate from immigration.
You Say You're An American, But What If You Had To Prove It Or Be Deported?
Don't forget that in deportation hearings, it's up to the accused illegal immigrant to prove they're a US citizen (if that's what they're claiming) and if they can't do so, they're subject to deportation.
In these hearings you're basically presumed guilty and have to prove your innocence.

That's not accurate. The FBI may be mostly concerned with domestic matters but it also operates internationally. Here's an extract from their own website.
QuoteFor more than seven decades, the FBI has stationed special agents and other personnel overseas to help protect Americans back home by building relationships with principal law enforcement, intelligence, and security services around the globe that help ensure a prompt and continuous exchange of information.

they do in big US game shows... you won 1.000.000 $ minus 333.333 $ unless you decide to get 50k a year for 20 years...
Because it's clearly stated in the terms and conditions that these prizes are tax-exempt.

30 days from the day of submitting documents - Chachoengsao.
I.e. you can submit your application up to 45 days before your current extension expires. The new extension will be granted for the next year, even before your current extension ends. The processing time is 30 days from the date of document submission (may be delayed a bit).
Same in Hua Hin, in my experience. I've done 3 marriage extensions now, and have always been given a date to return 30 days (give or take) from the day I handed in the paperwork.

You have to pay taxes in Thailand if you stay more than 180 days.
People who dont understand why dont deserve to be in Thailand, because Thailand dont want stupid people. 🤣
Not quite accurate. If you stay more than 180 days in Thailand you are considered a tax resident. Based on a number of announcements recently, it looks as though all tax residents are now supposed to file a tax return.
However, even if you are a tax resident and even if you file a tax return, it doesn't necessarily mean you have to pay taxes.

Based on your own words there, you had evidently already made up your mind that this was going to be an unpleasant experience before she even opened her mouth.
This comes across like a case of confirmation bias. You'd already decided how this was going to turn out, so perhaps unsurprisingly, that's the way things went (or at least, it's how you perceived it).
What I can't quite understand is why seeing a female IO would evoke a feeling of horror for you. Especially when you said you've never had a similar experience before, and other female IO's had been very pleasant, why did you expect this particular encounter to be so bad, before it had even started?

I think you have to question the suitability for one of the most important positions in the US government of a man who doesn't believe in germs because he can't see them.

You're saying that in twenty years of doing 3 VE entries a year, you were never previously asked how long you were staying, and/or where you were staying (except during Covid)? I find that very hard to credit.
Also, have you considered that her short questions might simply betray a lack of English language fluency?

Various people? Nothing to say who they are and why they hold their opinions. LOL.
What makes you say Starr is biased? I did a quick look at his background and I'm not seeing anything suggesting a particular bias.
Also, what do you mean, "Nothing to say who they are"? He names every single person he quotes in the article.
Here's a list of just some of them so named, and this is from only the first few paragraphs.
Official Russian war correspondent, Evgeni Lisitsyn
Yuri Devich, Duma member
Andrei Kartapolov, chairman of the Duma Committee on Defense
Commentator Sergei Mardan
Loyal ally of Vladimir Putin, Oleg Matveevich
Moscow tele-journalists, Olga Skabeeva
All in all, he quotes from a dozen or more prominent people located inside Russia.
As for for why they hold the opinions they do, I would say their words are self-explanatory.
