Call and check with them first because the rules are changing daily.
I understand that either type of Covid test is acceptable.
From the info we received this morning from Phan-gan they will only accept a PCR test and not a Rapid test...this came into force two days ago apparently. I've searched high and low but can't find anything online...the Rapid test is Baht 550, the PCR test is approx Baht 3,000 at the clinic (a lot more if you go to any of the private hospitals) and approx Baht 1,900 if you go to Nathon hospital

In normal English that translates to "the wheels are about to come off" ????

Important: You need a (negative) Covid test to enter Koh Samui
RT PCR Test (less than 72 hrs), or AG Rapid test, is now required for all visitors from Dark Red Zone and Red zone to enter Koh Samui. Visitors can no longer enter, or buy a ferry ticket, without a Covid-test.My daughter was due to go over to Phangan tomorrow, but we've just had a call from the ferry company asking if she's vaccinated, which she isn't because she's only 15...so they've said she needs a Covid test before she can travel over there (and I guess she'll need another before she can come back?)...can anyone shed some light on the costs/time frame/where to get tested please

What you reckon?
Tough call, I've no idea who did your repair work, but without the proper tools it's very easy to put a nick in a seal on reassembly...I'd say if it was just one side then that was bad luck, but both sides smacks of something wrong in assembly. As for the fork leg, it's certainly polished up on one side...the only way you're going to know for sure is when the forks are apart is to put the leg in some vee blocks and put a DTI gauge on it...if it's bent it wasn't new

If that 180 million includes their hotel then I think it's entirely feasible LOL...have you seen how much they're charging? It boggles the mind! ????

QuoteThe European Union member states have agreed to restrict travel from Thailand.
Thailand, along with Rwanda, were removed from a list of countries which were permitted to enter the European Union during the COVID-19 pandemic.
That is going to upset quite a few people...

Instead of having a chat with their friends they should have put down cold hard cash with the vaccine suppliers, and then just maybe, we wouldn't be in the mess that we are today!

Will this be handed straight to Thailand Post for delivery as normal with the post, or will it be held for collection from the customs office?
It'll be delivered by Thai Post...the only time stuff disappears off to customs is when it's over 1,500 Baht in value (but Thai Post will deliver a letter telling you how much and which post office is holding it)

As far as I was aware vaccination only stops you (in theory) from getting rather poorly...it certainly won't stop you catching it!

He said that the third wave of the pandemic was severe for the tourism industry with 36% of businesses temporarily shut and many having gone under permanently.
In Samui that would be at least 50% temporarily shut, with probably 40% gone under completely, leaving about 10% running...just

I was just summer camp, just a few hours in the morning, not full school...not sure how many were attending, but the kids have tested negative thankfully.
