Tesco Lotus in Ban Chang so assume CNX as well. It is in the baby food section unchilled so must be long life, perhaps unsuitable for cheese. Sorry that's all I can tell you. Thought it was a strange thing for Lotus to stock.

Sorry duff info. It is powdered goats milk. The goats milk I saw was in Foodland BKK.

Oil rigs can be seen on a clear day but not the sea floor. Most of the large oil companies are just a few clicks away, flight path u-Tapao airport, could be some of the sources .

No wonder interest in TV is waning when rubbish like this is posted.

  3. I would echo the good advice above. I had a marriage extension which was a pain to get with numerous trips to immigration. Plus 90 day reports Plus reentry permits.

For the last 2 years I have used a Non O multi based on marriage. Have to leave every 90 days but it is no hassle to me as it is nice to take a short holiday to a nearby country. Or just an 8 hour border run to Myanmar there and back from BKK.

  4. The idea that the Ban Chang motorway will bring an increase in tourism I would use this as an example.

One of the tourist "attractions" of Ban Chang must be Eastern Star golf course.

This year they have totally rebuild the interior of the clubhouse, improved the course, converted two service apartment blocks to hotels, converted one block from three to one bedroom apartments and many other improvements.

Perhaps management thinks that Bangkokians will bypass Pattaya and carry on to Ban Chang.

This is a course that in 27 years has had nothing spent on it and has made a loss every year. (From golf)

Passed the construction in Ban Chang today and there are about six or seven completed pillars parallel to the railway line.

Probably they will finish the route to Ban Chang first then start the leg to Maphaput.

Received three fines 2 weeks ago, one dates back as far as February, so I don't think the are sending them out in record time, was caught speeding all 3 times on the Bang Na Chonburi expressway. One thing that was strange was, only one of the fines i could pay at the bank, the other 2 fines, I had to go to the post office and get a money order, send a stamped self addressed envelope

I am curious to knew who you paid the fines to. Strange two different companies.

My wife over the span of 2017 managed to collect 10 speeding tickets. Being Thai she just ignored them. Coming home one day, two months ago, there was a notice from a debt collecting company pinned to the gate demanding payment of the fines. Next day a of couple guys came asking the wife about payment arrangements. This was a registered debt collecting company.

According to one of the wife's friends, depending on the amount and time outstanding the authorities are using debt collectors for a percentage fee.

Fines total was 2 at 1000 baht and 8 at 500 baht

i assumed the flyover would connect to the by pass, following the rail tracks will involve crossing many roads, whereas linking to the bypass road would only require a short road, where there is empty land at the moment.

According to a model I saw years ago it showed an elevated road above the railway all the way to Mapaphut crossing Sukhumvit. If it is going to be a true motorway (to Mapaphut) using the bypass road they would need a frontage road along both side to accommodate access, and flyovers at every junction. You can not see them now but they sank piles along the railway line to about half way along the dirt road.

If the Sukhumvit crossing construction is anything to go by, it should be open around 2030. Five months to span 100 yards

According to farang civil engineers I knew, the reason the Bang na trat expressway was never finished was that the contractor was never paid. Same as the Don Muang tollway.

  7. Just watched a video on the net showing how to change the clutch on a manual Ford Focus 2012.

As an old school mechanic I could not believe the work involved and the box full of special tools required.

I called a mate in the UK and he tells me it is a 800 to 1000 pound bill in UK.

No wonder secondhand cars are cheap in the UK.

Puts me off buying one here even if they look better value than the Japanese equivalent. (second hand)

    Wow...????

That was cheap, hardly 4 million baht a rai, can you share the link, or exact location on the island?

Beachfront land normally sells for more than that – in my area the last price (end of 2017), converted to a rai, was 54 million baht, asking price was 65 million baht converted to rai price, the actual plot size was smaller than a rai – 4 million baht a rai is usually inland price level.

    ????

I did correct it in a later post that it is inland. The beach front is 4 rai and 450 million. Out of OP range i think. C_lliers is the agent.
