Keats boaryard on ring road near BigC has done fibreglass work for me before. Posted with Thaivisa App http://apps.thaivisa.com
now we're on to something, i know chung keat. usually he's just fixing our electrics or hydraulics, shouldn't surprise me that he's got someone there that can do fiberglass. thanks.

when in rome...

There is a place that does fibreglass work on Soi Thongsai - Plai Laem. He fixes jetskis. Into Soi Thongsai off the 4171 and about a kilometer up the road. On the left after Emerald Condominiums and the hotel that's for sale - just before the pipe shop.
well thank you very much for the lead, i will stop by tomorrow and take a look.

ah a boat builder may just be the ticket. i'm just looking to make water tanks actually so it's not complicated, just wanting to compare prices with the 20k each i've already been quoted by the shops.
-
looking specifically for a shop that does fiberglass work, for example they would make forms out of fiberglass e.g. pools, water tanks etc.

not sure i found the place you were referring to. have just dropped off the mower at an electrical shop in maenam in between santiburi and the maenam market. 2 story, 2bldg shop entirely full of pumps, generators and all things electric so even if he doesn't know anything about it now, he should by the time he gets through everything that's been dropped off.
now on to the next project...

thanks sticky. does he have a name or should i just head to the garden shop area and listen for a dynamo hum?
-
or any appliance repair guys that understand lawnmowers specifically.
any recommendations?
-
yes, definitely avoid it. the traffic control guy is busy picking his nose and it's a real flustercluck. construction is ongoing from the traffic lights all the way around the bend to the school at the moment, lots of heavy machinery.

looks like good fun, too bad i've given up fun for lent.

have just done the monthly drive around to every shop on the island trying to get one script for one eye and a different script for the other and it's just getting tedious.
in the states i can buy them annually for less than half of what i'm paying here for the same thing, however i'm not in the states and they don't accept anything less than a signed and phone verified prescription when dealing with thailand.
have asked at each shop today, how much if i buy one year at a time, and the response was always the same, price is fixed so no discount.
anyone ever have any success locally (or bkk etc) buying a years worth of lens at a time? nothing complicated about my scripts , but it's always the same story with the thai's working the shops " you need every month? ok you buy from me i have for you each month" and of course they never have both L&R. it's either or, or neither.

maybe it's going to be an airport on reclaimed beach land. the size of the structure lends itself perfectly to incorporating the bridge between pan yang and samui along with the new airport.
two birds with one stone and all.

happy birthday rooo!

thanks, yes i've heard of the gevey sim cards but haven't tried one yet as i'd held out hope for a software unlock.
as the info from the link i provided hasn't been confirmed by dev team i will assume that it is another false unlock.
-
thanks gus i will stop in again on the way home and have a look, last time i was there it was similar to what i'd found at maenam trading.
-
starting up a new project at home and will need a ton of pvc of varying sizes along with all manner of fittings, couplings, 3 and 4 way connectors etc.
have any of you ever seen a shop here on samui that actually stocks a variety of these fittings? have tried maenam trading but the selection any time i've been in there has been no good.
i'm going to need hundreds, so if you've seen a shop in surat or know of anyone in bkk that supplies these, that's ok too.

Most hairdressers & barbers work at the temples on Wednesday.
interesting. i never noticed.
in my religion it is thought to bring very bad luck to go to temples on wednesday.
-
it's actually quite easy to get a thai to cut your hair on wednesday, because the shops are empty of thai's.
in fact i go to tesco on wednesday in particular to get my hair cut because i know i won't have to wait.
-
i'm going to wait for dev team to confirm it but it sounds like they've finally done it. have a 4 with bb 4.11.08 that's been sitting on my shelf for months, hope this is legit.

Any hair pieces? Just wondering
-
GRRRR, still would of liked the option.
Suspect you were given the mai mee ..... AKA I have no idea what you are talking about/couldn't be bothered. Just back from BigC, where, down by the rice cookers, are half a dozen clippers/trimmers. THB 400-700 - ish. Seems you have now got yourself sorted anyway, and probably with better quality anyway.I asked in both tesco and Big C yesterday, they don't sell them. Or at least not anymore anyway.a thread about hair clippers has now almost got to 25 replies so please, nobody mention the wahl distributor in nathon or the shop in the mall in surat that has every western brand known to man.

your options are to buy a combined ferry/bus ticket at one of the shops opposite the seatran pier or just buy a ferry ticket and look for the appropriate bus once you land at donsak.

Thanks, i'll go take a look right now
Coming from Maenam, pass through the lights, and on the left hand side (about 100m) is the hairdressing supplies shop. Just before the Bophut market on the right. Recently refurbished, drove past this morning and the window display is full of mannequins. One lady in Lotus told us about that place in Bophut near the traffic lights but we couldn't find it. Now i know why, thanks Rooo. So still don't know where to find them.....large yellow building, same side as police box.
your signature looks familiar to me btw, have seen it over the years at jim's place in penang.
