I think he was denied because of putting up too many of those hammer posters on Witthayu Road.

Was that photo taken when someone suggested parking at Suvarnabhumi was going to be free?

Don't forget that's "DR. Thaksin with an American-obtained PhD".....
hahaha hohoho hahahaha
No, No, this time it was the foreign minister being interviewed in Vientiane. Just as he started waxing eloquent on how Burma has made leaps and strides to achieve a democracy worthy of being an Asean member, BBC cut to breaking news about heavy rainfall in India.

When they rush things here, you can bet it becomes a disaster soon after. I can't understand why Toxin is pressing for those projects to be opened "early". What the rush ? doesn't he have more pressing things to do like stabilizing the South ?
Come on, everyone knows that the South will automatically stabilise after someone finds that paper crane with Toxin's original John Henry.

Last September Thaksin spent the night in a worker's hut at the airport in a bid to encourage contractors to complete the project on time.
And the conclusion from that outing was "always take a toothbrush, flip flops and a chequered loincloth when you go camping".

This is very similar to the brainwave when they asked taxi drivers to report suspicious looking passengers.

Good thing you're not taking the boat. If it sinks, you'll find yourself floating upside down in your life-jacket.

Luckily for him, the other day BBC had to abruptly cut his interview on Burma's Asean chair, because they moved over to a breaking news story. Saved him from making a fool of himself.

Wonder what the deal (or quid pro quo) was?
Must have been quite a sweetener.
Guess they get to keep Suu Kyi for another 50 years or so!

Champa ate some noodles on the way home and started convulsing.
What better than to stop for a bowl of tom yum noodles before going home to die!

[CALVARY was the hill where Jesus Christ was crucified by the Romans, 2000 odd years ago.
Wasn't that 1900 odd years ago?
about that ....Friday after noon if i remember........the old pub closing times....
(now resurected in LOS)
wonder what ever happened to him
Dunno, last I heard of him was that he operates a travel agency and has several branches in LOS. Cheap tickets for paradise and all. Passed one of those in Soi Ruamrudee the other day!

I have already booked a ride on the Economy roller coaster. The promotion leaflet says that the downhill descent is really breathtaking!
What's more, they are going to serve shark-fin soup as well. That'll beat HK Disney hollow.

That's just another estate agency hype release. I rent an office in one of the better so called "Grade A" buildings and have just signed for another 3 years at 375 Baht per sqm.
Potential lessors would be better off if they check several properties and negotiate with the owners directly before signing their lease agreements. There are better deals out there then these agencies would have us believe.

Fight has to be taken to the bigots...whether they are folks like Nam Kao (and a few others here who are lacking in the humanism department), or an Islamist who preaches hateful stuff to kids, inciting them to violence, or the Caucasian tourist (or maybe a resident, who knows) who, out of the blue, said very offensive/racist stuff to a South Asian friend of mine due to his skin color, when we walked into a bar in Sukumvit (this happened a few years ago), or a bigot who continually posts offensive remarks against homosexuals (a guy whom I have been taking on in another forum). Just a few examples of bigotry.
Really well said JJ

IMHO it doesn't take much to fix the media in Thailand. A full page advertisement in any national daily can get you glowing tributes 2 pages away in the same paper!
I am pretty sure that by the time of the next election, the same media will be singing praises for the dear leader and attending his campaign parties with smiley badges on their jackets.

As to the South yes I think things are going to get even more violent, these things are now being reported in detail internationally.
You are absolutely correct. Their cousins from other rife torn places shall move in when the international spotlight is on this place, because it would attract more funding from the radicals. This has the potential to develop in to a full blown insurgency.

US investigators discovered that bogus Viagra pills were being produced by Ozek in a factory in Cambodia and distributed to many Southeast Asian countries, where they killed many users.

.....for a photo of the lovely girl.
Isn't she the lovely lass that won the Miss Jumbo Thailand contest at the Rose Garden earlier this year?

There is a farang getting around Bangkok for some time now with floppy ears (he can tuck them into his ears ) Have you seen him? Do you know the guy?
That would be Goofy stopping by LOS on his way to Hong Kong.

We're one breath away from a crackdown on cocks.

The same here in my office - it's between 17.5 - 19.5 deg C.
But that is on insistence of the khunying wannabies occupying the office next door, so that they can show-off daily their colourful collection of cashmere shawls!

Economic decline/crisis + blatant corruption = leaders can find themselves in the slammer.
I don't think that it is ever going to happen in the LOS - the slammer part, I mean!

Coming next - Crackdown on weed selling flower vendors!

For the past 4-5 weeks the digital signal on their news channels (BBC, CNN, CNBC) is distorted to an extent that moving images look like they are digitally censored. I complained to UBC several times and was recently told by their "engineer" that this would be solved only when they change to a better satellite. He also mentioned that I was the only one complaining in the area because their Thai clients here never watched the English news channels!
