Well, thanks for all the replies and advices. It would seem at the end of the day a solicitor must be involved. That will be my next step.......finding one.

Good day,
I am English in living Thailand married to a Thai National, Lady and need some advice about drawing up a will.
I have property in South Africa so understand I do need to have a Thai will also. My wife being much younger than I, logically I will pass away first so I want to make sure everything is sorted.
I would appreciate any advice on which lawyers to contact, especially from somebody who has gone thorough the process.
Thank you.

It just boggles my mind that people don't have any concept of a visa and permission to stay. Also not able to read the visa stickers and interpret it. A single entry is a single entry. It can be used to enter multiple times.
"A single entry is a single entry. It can be used to enter multiple times" What then is a Multiple Entry?
My mind is boggled!

IMO what you do outside Thailand is entirely your own business, irrespective of whether you are retired or not.
Apply for a multiple re-entry permit, TM8. 3800 baht. It is valid for the period of your visa/ extension, you can come and go as many times as you want.
My thoughts also but just checking, thank you

You can buy a multi reentry permit 3800baht. .
Can be obtained at immigration or the airport.
Do you have a 12 month extension from your non O.
When does your current permission of stay expire?
Will be shown on stamp in your pp.
I have a new retirement, it looks like an extension because it expires 13 Jan 2024, previously I came on O based on marriage

Reentry permit if you are on extensions or if you have a valid non O-A then that visa is a multi entry.
Thank you, the visa states Non Imm. 'single entry'. Visa issued after I came in on a Non Imm O based on marriage (Thought I'd finished with work!!)
So if I take this job offer would I have to apply for reentry every time I went out?

Good day, with a 12 month retirement visa is it possible to work outside of Thailand s borders?
If so how would one go about re-entry?
Thank you.

That's what you posted in OP.
A TM7 is for 12 month extension to your non O marriage.
Turns out your wife is going to file a TM30.
Not remotely close apart from fact you will provide the TM30 when you apply for 12 month extension in 2 months time.
Assuming that is your intention
Yes, so I don't have to accompany my wife to submit her 30TM

You cannot apply for the extension of stay until the last 30 days or 45 days at some office of your 90 day stay.
What extension will you be applying for.
The fee for a extension is 1900 baht.
I am not applying yet, really just accompying my wife to register my arrival, is there a need for me to do anything

Hi, just arrived in Bangkok on 90 day Non Imm visa, will go to Immigration tomorrow with TM 7 form. Am I actually applying for an extension of stay when I have a 90 visa? Also is there any fee I must pay? Thank you

Hi
use the mobile app mentioned. No need to go to the immigration
just download it to your or wife phone. You will need photo of your wife ID, house book and your passport photo in the phone so you can upload.
when she has the app she must register herself first via app then check her email and follow the easy 2 steps. then here you go.
suggestion: take screenshots in every step of the app. And save them. You will need as a TM30 proof if needed. Its also a good idea to print the pics.
its very easy and takes probably 5 min all things.
Sounds good, I'll give it a try, thank you

You wife will need to submit a TM30 report. If she is Thai she will need her ID card and house book plus copies of it.
If not Thai she will need proof of ownership or a rental agreement.
Thank you Ubonjoe, do I go with her, if so what do I need to take?

Good day,
I will be in Bangkok shortly, I will have to go toe the Immigration off to register.
My wife will go with me to register as my landlord. Can somebody please what documents I, also my wife, have to take along?
As with all government departments I am sure the place will be very busy but is there any particular time or day when it is not too hectic.
Thank you for any advice you may have

If you are not in the country a 90 day report not needed it you apply for your first extension of stay until 90 days from the day you apply for it.
If your wife does a TM30 report another one is not required unless you change addresses or enter the country with a new visa.
Thanks Ubonjoe. My wife has to go to immigration register and report, she will get a receipt/acknowledgement and will not have to go again, unless we change address. Thanks again.

No need to do it again if it was done when you applied for the extension of stay.
So really my wife must register as my housemaster as I arrive back in Thailand and before I apply for the extension of stay?

Thank you, I will have, hopefully, a 12 month retirement visa, is that an extension of stay?
in an earlier reply you said If when I go for my 1st 90 reporting all I need is my passport and completed M47 form. Does that mean my wife does not have to register as my house master?

A extension of stay (it is not a visa) is issued by a immigration based upon retirement.
Visas are issued by embassies and consulates. Immigration will issue a single entry non-o visa for retirement that will allow a 90 day stay after the visa is approved.
Thank you sir.

That's correct.
It is a 12 month extension based on retirement.
No such thing as a "retirement visa" however it's a term commonly used.
Thank you, I now understand

That would not be needed if he is on a extension of stay issued by the same office he is reporting to.

Thank you, I will have, hopefully, a 12 month retirement visa, is that an extension of stay?

Assuming that your wife owns the property in which you live, she will need to complete a TM30 form as your housemaster and submit it to your local immigration office ASAP.
When the time comes for you to submit a 90-day report you will need to turn up at your local immigration office complete with passport (including the TM30 notification slip which they have issued) plus a completed TM47 form. After you have done your first report in person you should then be able to use the online facility for subsequent reports.
Thank you, to whom and when do they issue the TM notification, is that on receipt of my wife's TM30 form?

Barbeque, nice :-). That template does look good. One law firm I contact want Thb22k but that doe no include doing the application for probate, although they can assist, off course at extra cost!
If there are no assets, fixed properties etc, and only cash, is it necessary to apply for probate? As you mentioned transfer it all to my wifes account, or perhaps just give her signing powers there again..................................................... Cheers.
