Sorry Joe. I was asking if Applications for the Thailand Pass is yet open. The Thailand Pass application is not yet open, or so I read. The people who can go in on Test and Go (Doubled) are those that had their pass approved and given the QR code prior to everything being blocled

I am hearing stories that applications for the Thailand Pass wi reopen 1st February. Then I hear its not been decided yet. Any ideas please

Good Morning, I am trying to get everything together for when the Thailand Pass starts up again. With being 78 years of age there seems to be a problem getting Covid 19 Medical Insurance. I have tried AXA and Luma both say limited up to 74 years of age. I then tried https://covid19. tgia.org, but the list of countries does not show South Africa. I know that the country was not on the Governments original approved list but they were put on it some weeks back. Could it be the Insurance company not updated their list? Whatever, can anybody please advise a company that offers medical insurance to 78 year olds resident in South Africa. Than you.

Yes, thanks, it would be a big step, the point is why ban S.A in the first place, don't want to upset the big boys? Good to see they have seen some sense at last by suspending the so called no quarantine scheme. I see the Singapore has removed S.A from the Red List along with the U.K and U.S, perhaps, hopefully Thailand will follow suit shortly

I think the last point I made, says it all, not so many visitors from South Africa, hence not much money lost from their spending.

Good day all, hope you all had a great Christmas Day, I've just been reading about a post about a guy flying into Thailand from the UK. Is there any logical reason as to why people from the UK and US, where people are getting infected and dying in the 10,000's and 100,000's can fly into Thailand, where as travellers cannot fly from South Africa, where infections and fatalities are far, far lower. Is it because the Thai authorities don't trust the S.A doctors, scientists, vaccinations etc. or perhaps because S.A "discovered'' the Omicron variant and blabbed it to the world and get slapped onto a Red List? Or perhaps there are more visitors from the US and UK than from S.A, hence more cash flowing in? Cheers, perhaps I'll manage to get back one day.

Hi Asiam, I think I've got it. Using metadata I converted it to JPG, 189kb. Dragged it over and dropped it in the indicated space. It was not rejected, looking at the doc. there was a Tick on the left side and a X on the right. I think it must have been accepted as I was allowed to 'Continue' Thanks again for your advice, hope it works ????

Good Morning Thailand, Help! Can anybody please advise the way to upload my Passport to the Thailand Pass Application? I have scanned my pass port to JPG, I drag it over to the appropriate place, every time it comes up saying it is too large or it is not PJG or PNG, it is 1.9kb. I have tried multiple times with no success. What am I doing wrong? I am travelling from South Africa, with full vaccination, and am trying to get into the Sandbox Programme. Thanks in anticipation.

I have a Canon printer, I contacted the my by phone, the operator remotely took over my laptop, told me to place the document of the glass top then proceeded to convert it to JPG. I asked could not scan the document myself from the laptop desk top, he said it is not possible. The resultant scan was very poor quality. I will try the things you have sent, thank you. Hope it is a breeze ????

Hi Salerno, I tried both Opera and Edge both went as far as I wanted, to where I was to enter personal details. I am not too sure when I will be flying yet, I'm just trying to get things lined, for when I do know. So that part is, should be OK, I believe the scary part is trying to upload the documents. Does very one have to be in PJG format from PDF? How do you change from one to the other?
