You all see it now? We need Prawit to fight terrorism, he is a hero just in time.

Premchai appeared not to be a professional shooter, although he had with him many rifles in the campsite. Therefore, he may have had someone else shoot the protected animals, Damrong said.
Damrong, Damrong, Damrong..., former Director General of National Parks Dept., and provider of an exit in form of a scape goat (not a protected species)

The thread would hardly be complete without a whataboutism rant to diminish the good work.
Yes, we all have our hobbies. I like to point out hypocrisy, you like to defend it.

China and the Vatican will establish formal diplomatic relations sooner or later because Pope Francis has the "wisdom" to resolve problems between the two sides
This is such a weird statement. According to China, Francis has "wisdom", while China chooses "sooner or later". What problems?

And here I thought he was going to actually address the queues:
Hello, Hours-long Queues of Foreign People,
we brought you some buckets for your immediate needs, and later we will have a sideline show of Thai dance to your left and right to pass the time faster, followed by some BINGO: the winner can go to the front of the queue! Enjoy.

The much maligned Thai police force came in for some much needed praise in the Thai media for their handling of a situation at a bus stop in Sattahip, Chonburi.
That same police force of 2 cops saw a drunk foreigner, contacted their station chief who then told the media to meet the cops and make a feel-good story about how caring the police is. After the media showed up and had their story, the cops put the drunk in a cell to sleep it off.
In the mean time over 100 police were monitoring a one-man-satire-show for subversiveness, and undercover detectives charged a mentally disabled teen with threatening National Security for marching 500 meters with his father, and a National Police Chief absolved a former National Police Chief from receiving a 300mio baht loan from a fugitive.
Indeed, the force needs praise, among other things.

it's all by design: the kids of the wealthy families all study abroad, because they can afford it, while the rest of the nation is kept ignorant on purpose. Ignorance equals compliance.

The article doesn't list any personal merits other than being the child of a founder of ITD. Maybe dig some more and tell us if he has any redeeming achievements. If not, he would be just another Red Bull example, albeit a bit older and fatter.

A former National Police Chief does not have to explain a money trail to a fugitive criminal, because a current National Police Chief says so.
Please note this statement of exemption did not come from a public prosecutor of the case, or Attorney General, but from a police colleague. It shows exactly how power is distributed.

It's called "Don Mueang" for a reason, not Mama Mia Mueang (although sometimes I call it that)

And in the naked light I saw
Ten thousand people, maybe more
People talking without speaking
People hearing without listening
People writing songs that voices never share
No one dare
Disturb the sound of silence
And the people bowed and prayed
To the PM god they made... -
Is that a hair pin, or tie your hair in a knot RTP style sort of a thing?
If it is, it will be copied, sold and used to commit fake police crimes.

shouldn't there be a book by now "Uncle Pom, don't go!", or at least a song "Prawit, we need you... without you - no hope!". Maybe some new dance moves "One step fore and two steps aft, spin around and shake your finger - it's the Prawit Shuffle"
Is there no one creative in government to help the dude's image?

Publicly DSI chief Pol Colonel Phaisit Wongmeuang was remaining tight lipped yesterday. He said that no warrant has yet been issued for the director general in connection with the matter and he has yet to answer questions.
"We are waiting for that former Police Director to leisurely flee the country before we are asking a judge to issue a warrant one month later. It's procedure. Special procedure. For this kind of thing. Other things get normal procedure."

But really, why the need for a clinic, if you have so many supernatural beings available in Thailand to do your bidding? Give the monk 100 baht to chant over your equipment and to entice the spirit give it some red soda...

An internet search by Thaivisa shows that the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) still recommends the Lelux hospital as an excellent facility for cosmetic surgery in Thailand.
Well, TAT, if ya needs a model, ya know, I'm available for a fee. I'm sure it's a Non-Thai-Profession, so work permit should be OK. But I won't do twerking, the Frog Whisperer forbids it.

I am happy to see that Greece has nothing more to worry about than who names what.
If this is how you choose to spend your time, energy and money, so be it.

No, they will not understand.
You will have to wear your medals, then they will understand.
Show some pride in being military, man!

Is this then a computer crime (distorting facts using a computer and publishing lies via Internet)?
Of course not. This was committed by the junta to serve the junta and the junta is a benevolent entity, hence incapable of criminal behavior.
If the same had been committed by persons not affiliated with the government, then of course it would be a crime, because they have malicious intent.
