I used the contact form at http://classifieds.thaivisa.com/contacts/ because I found a picture in an ad that is copyrighted to me and was used without my authorization (and a "thaivisa.com" watermark was added to it, nice touch).
Anyway, I filled in all fields, hit Send and got both a confirmation msg and an error msg:
So how do I know if my message was correctly sent or not???
I use IE 9 on Win 7.

Thanks Goshawk! So, according to Wikipedia, the name in Thai is วงศ์ย่อยแย้ (not sure how to pronounce: wong-yoy-yaeh?).

This little guy (or big guy actually, maybe 40 or 50 cm from head to tail) is living in a hole in my garden. I'm curious to know what kind of lizard it is, as well as the name in Thai. I've seen all sorts of lizards around my house, but they're usually smaller.
As I was taking pictures of the lizard, I spotted another visitor. Can someone confirm that this is a rat snake?

My friend told me that his daughter is getting a visa in her Thai passport to go to France for a holiday even though she has a valid French passport.
My kids have both a French and Thai passports, and they don't need a visa to go to France. We do exactly like you do when going to the US with your daughter: they leave Thailand with their Thai passport, enter and leave France with the French one, then enter Thailand again with the Thai passport.
My French friend told me that that the French consulate advised him not to allow his daughter to travel to France with her French passportI think that's nonsense. Your daughter is French and she can enter France on a French passport.
Good luck for getting your marriage certified by the embassy.

I've had the same problem (with TOT) for the last 3 or 4 days and the changing of DNS didn't do anything. Now everything seems to be back as usual. Every year there is some kind of problem during Songkran!

Hi, try weboneplus dot com (online portfolio).

1. As said above, ตามใจคุณ (tam jai khun) or แล้วแต่คุณ (laew tae khun).
2. You're exactly spot on! Up to you, Thai woman speaking, doesn't mean "up to you", but "up to you to find out what I wish".
3. See 2.

Just for information, the bug I posted a screenshot of on top of page 16 is still here.

Before the upgrade I think there was nothing, just the poster's name, and it was fine to me. If it has to be a picture, then I would prefer something very small, the less eye-catching possible. I think the current image looks too much like an avatar, so it's like many people sharing the same avatar.
-
Its the default no avatar picture done by board software.
So it's a picture, OK, but it doesn't change the fact that I find it very annoying to see this "picture" used for all people who don't have a personalized avatar.
-
The problem seems fixed now.

We have never assigned avatars to members, they need to upload their own.
Yes, well whatever you call this :

I've been looking for the "subscribe to this topic" link for quite some time, only to find out that the button is hidden behind the "View content" at the top of the page. I think there is also a print button hidden behind the "open quick navigation" icon. Sorry if this has been reported already, I didn't go through all the pages of this topic. I see the problem with Chrome and IE9.

delboy, ok, so we're in the same boat. May I ask where you live? I'm in Cha-am myself, Phetchaburi province.

Less than 400kbps upload speed is kind of slow . You can max it out very easily if you have other transfers going on. I'm thinking of Bittorrent mostly. You sure there's no such thing?
No, nothing else going on.
It's indeed very slow but it's the only ISP in my neck of the woods so I don't have any choice but to bear with it. When it's slow but it's working, at least I can get some work done. But now it's terrible, I had to put my files on a USB key and drive to a friend's who lives in town and has another provider.
At least if tech support could tell me that they're experiencing a problem at the moment, due to bla bla bla... but it really gets on your nerves when you're dealing with people who don't have a single clue about anything. "FTP... it's a software???"
-
Yes their SMTP is miserable too, and if you're using a POP client I don't think you can use your own or a third party SMTP (last time I checked you couldn't).

I think the new layout is OK, it has a more modern touch than the previous one, even if I don't like this minimalist trend where many features are hidden and you have to hover over this or that to make them appear.
The thing I'm definitely not getting used to, however, is the standard avatar for people who don't have one. It makes it very confusing to differentiate between the different posters. Avatars are useful because you just glance at it and you immediately distinguish between people. If they don't have an avatar, your eyes are immediately on their name. Now with this standard avatar I can't help looking at it, then I have to check the name. Very annoying, and I don't think it brings anything good to the forum.

I'm trying to upload files to my websites via FTP, or via cpanel file manager, and I only get time outs. I'm also trying to upload files in a databse using a php script, same problem. Anyone experiencing the same kinds of problem with TOT now? It's been like this for 2 days. The files are small, from 15 kb to 200 kb, I'm not even talking mb or gb. I've checked with my remote server, everything is fine there, but traceroute shows problems in and around TOT.
I contacted TOT "technical" support but they don't even know what FTP is, so of course it was hard to explain problem, even in Thai. Amazing Thailand, ISP tech support doesn't have a clue what FTP is.
Speedtest against Singapore looks normal:
Last Result:
Download Speed: 3991 kbps (498.9 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 369 kbps (46.1 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 137 ms

What is the IP you type in your browser?
Irrelevant as he gets the login page for the router so must have connected to it.
I asked the question because I have both a modem and a router on my network, and when you login it's just a standard pop up window from the browser that opens, so you don't know if it's for the modem or for the router. I remember I once used the modem's IP and the router's login/pass, of course it didn't work but my first thought was that I had the wrong password. But OP would have probably specified if he used both a modem and a router.
