it baffles me that these europeans visit thailand for holiday or relaxation but end up in fighting, misbehaving and in this case murder.

Flog them with rattan canes, fine them heavily, jail them for life.
That is all the authorities are good for anyway.
"jail them for life'? are you ok?

Because they're "special" laws for Farangs...
especially when there are not many foreigners at this point in time who are using the beaches.

cases of assault are settled with a simple "wai", how will littering offences be enforced with such punishment.

Theft? Foreigners would seem to be a money bag target. So sorry for the daughter.
doubtful a theft. how would the robber know about the money.

salivating dogs hearing the bell. surprised no fighting or shooting ensued. maybe elsewhere?
but the social distancing and the usual precautions were totally ignored and violated.

They would have found the government getting much lower marks if they'd asked specifically about the extended alcohol ban!
curious to know the co-relation between alcohol ban and the the corona virus numbers.

well deserved going by the numbers. truly remarkable co-operation by the people,

3 is a nice number, i don’t expect zero case because Thai people will somehow return from foreign countries weekly.
it would be best to quarantine all returning citizens. do not take chances at this stage because you need only one mistake and clusters can reappear.

Good job, Thailand. Three cases is very low but Vietnam is doing better at 0 cases.
Can we reopen most of the the business centers?
go slow and err on the side of caution. businesses should be opened in stages, the last being the places that draw huge density crowds.

Thai media reported this morning that 40 new positive cases in Yala have been found, this info from Richard Barrow. Guess we'll need to wait for tomorrows figures to see if thats offically confirmed.
strange that information is emanating from different sources.

So what countries will issue a ''clean from covid'' certificate/letter?
Can you imagine going to a doctor in the West and asking for a ''I am clean'' certificate? Dream on!
sooner or later this virus issue will have to end. stay hopeful. are we not living on hope?

welcome news but rather err on the side of caution than rush and regret.

It will take a lot longer than that if they keep this up. Prohibition is not a tourist attraction. Thailand is now a hard line Muslim dry state masquerading as a peaceful Buddhist country
sure. is it that bad?

will be prudent to do so to cut costs.

this seems more realistic.
and only the strong will survive and it may be much longer than this before we see the level of small business return to pre-virus days.
i only hope my favorite restaurants in Pattaya survive.
also a time to reflect and learn some lessons in humility.
-
pattaya will take a serious hit if it is going to take two years to recover. meanwhile are any relief measures planned for the businesses there. we also hope the business operators will rethink new strategy to keep themselves going and also in the process learn some lessons in humility.

a lot will depend on the prevailing covid-19 situation world wide as that will determine which countries will allow flights to land. that situation will allow thai to decide when their flights can commence, unless you are talking of domestic flights of course, which can be decided by the thai authorities.
