These tests must be a real money spinner for the health ministry (last i heard they were charging 7,000 baht a pop).
if they really cared they would make them free to all at the point of use.
should be free for this exercise.

"Many fear that the outbreak, hitherto felt most keenly in Bangkok, may now move to the provinces,..." Ya think? <deleted> morons.
absolutely - that is what should have been avoided ( the potential of infection due to close contact at moe-chit)

Great planning by the big heads. So massive outbreak is to be expected in the provinces. Then once BKK is contained all to return to bring back the virus.
Really really well planned and executed by the experts running the show .
if anything , Anutin should be nominated for Nobel awards
what a wrong move; this was a time to shut down moe-chit and thereby control movement of people.
-
this is the biggest recipe for disaster as close proximity increases the chances of infection. this exercise also runs the risk of spreading the infection to other provinces.

thought the virus didn't like the hot weather, it must have adjusted/assimilated to the heat fast, Prayut better close the country down or lock it down ow whatever he wants to call it .....but it has to be done fast, no more wasting time
viruses are known to mutate; hence the behaviour can change accordingly.

Huge amount of daily jumps now. Similar to how it started in Europe a few weeks ago. Got a feeling they need to impose a proper lockdown (this government have done it before) to avoid Thailand becoming like Italy or Spain very soon.
you are absolutely right. the only way to localise the problem is to have a complete shut down.

if the majority are in BKK that would be a smart move to keep them there and don't allow them to travel and spread it out, thus first and foremost, lock down/shut down/block down, halt any and all traffic out of BKK
this can only be achieved by a complete shut down. is the government ready for this and have they got all the logistics in place for a shut down.

looks like it has started in significant numbers and since there has no contact tracing done so far, it is difficult to predict where it is headed. nevertheless, the usual precautions will help to control but concepts like social distancing are not easily achievable unless the infrastructure is in place to enforce proper distancing and isolation if necessary.

Of course they will. What should they do, book themselves into a hotel?
Many come from the north where they may have generations sharing. They don’t have the option of going it alone
self isolation is not possible if many people live in one small house.

How did this spread to so many people attending this boxing event ?
all from possibly one person ?
I find that hard to believe - were they all touching each other
there could have been more than one carriers.

it is unfortunate but that seems the trend world wide. best defence is to take all the precautions like personal hygiene and regular hand washing.

His face isn't clear in that video you linked. Here is a clearer picture, and yes, he looks very Chinese but he's actually Thai.
could be from anywhere in this region. the important thing would be to track him down and punish him for his behaviour.

definitely not in his right senses. this behaviour must not go unpardoned.

this is seriously uncouth behaviour. he should be tracked down and put under a detention order. wilfully endangering his own and other people's lives. he is touching his private parts and rubbing on the lift walls and controls.

what are they expected to do in thailand? perhaps the 4 ft distancing could be practiced.

if mr anutin considers spain to be not a high risk country for corona infections he is out of touch with reality. infections an deaths in spain are very high- about 12k with 500 deaths.

looks like closing the borders will be the only solution to contain the spread of the virus.better to take the bitter pill early.

these are some frightening figures. hope it does not come to that.

I swear this government just watch the international news in the evening, and then copy what they thought they saw, with very little logic. Where are all of the bar girls and staff going now? Home to stay with their elderly parents!!! Very wise ????
shutdowns have created disruptions world wide. suppose all have to take the bittler pill.

a big hit to the operators of these facilities but this action is absolutely necessary to combat the spread of the virus.

this may be a case of too little too late as infections would have spread far and wide by now. hope the tests will be free; otherwise many may not forthcoming to spend a big sum of money for the test.
