Just read Tom Hanks and his wife infected in Australia. Some days ago I read, many infected people in Australia came from a trip to Thailand. Wonder, how many infected people are really out there in Thailand and for me Pattaya. What frustrates me most is no disinfection spray to buy.
no spray is going to help. best form of protection as of know to exercise personal hygiene and regular hand washing with good soap.

It was interesting to see how the different countries are taking different approaches to tackling this virus.
In Korea they are doing mass testing to try and catch the virus at an early stage. I read the other day that a Covid-19 test in Thailand can cost up to 13,000 Baht, so some people avoid being tested. Wouldn't it be a good idea for the government to give a large budget to the health authorities and make testing free for everyone?
full support for your suggestion.

Disinfection for before taking public transport, Bangkok Thailand
how to do so in practical terms?

13000 Baht is a huge disincentive to self present for testing. Plus, if you were to come back negative, chances are in this environment that you may wish to be tested again.
Upside is 70% of people infected don't need hospital care, just paracetamol and rest. Others mild to moderate intervention and very small percent will need intensive care, some will die. Over 70s need to be vigilant as your risks increase the older you are above that age.
of course during these difficult times, and in the interest of the community at large, the tests should be provided f o c.

drinking from the same container may be a form of expression of camaraderie but under the current circumstances of the COVID-19 it is nothing short of foolishness.the good thing is that they have been able to contact trace but what about the numerous number of family and working members that could have been exposed to during the incubation period.

Was at a wedding ceremony a few days ago when it came to eat there were no serving spoons everyone just used their own.
Nobody including Cooks wore masks. I did go hungry but survived on liquids.surely you all could have asked service manager to provide serving spoons.

while the governments the world over are trying their best to contain the virus, there are scums who are collecting used masks, washing and ironing them and selling them off as new. hope the thai government comes up with the harshest of punishment for offenders of this heinous crime.

It was only a matter of time--surprised it wasn't sooner.
a situation like this where the source of infection cannot be located can prove disastrous.

If true he has covid-19; so far it is symptoms similar to coronavirus. How quickly do they get test results that are bankable? Heck, they may be out of test kits by now or hording them to sell to China. I'm filing this one under 'the sky is falling' column.
he has been confirmed.

is there any plan to quarantine the immigration staff with whom this person could have come into contact with. the problem is all the more serious as the possible source of infection is uncertain and therefore contact tracing impossible.

Oops. That is not good.
not only not good but this situation is serious as contact tracing is virtually impossible under the circumstances.

Chang- nobyl, jewel of Thailand.
Who wouldn't want to retire there!
jewel it may be but looks like it has lost of its shine if the air quality is so poor.

Great job Chiang Mai, and a shout out to all those who torch their rice fields and forested areas every year to make this happen.
so looks like it is a man made problem.

Well done Chiangmai, finally number 1. Now if we can just be honest about the actual number of people infected by the Coronavirus we could be top of that league as well.
looks like burning is the culprit which ought to be able to be handled.

since chiang mai is located in the north which has more jungle and thus greenery it is surprising that chiang mai is so polluted. looks like a man made problem caused by burnings.

thailand is not the only victim. many economies are headed that way. it is survival that is important at this stage. development can come later.

Exactly, I have a few friends left around the world and most of them are frequent visitors of Thailand.50% cancelled their April and May Thailand trips, the other half is waiting with a booking.I think only idiots would book a Thai vacation at this time
sure it is the possibility of being quarantined for 14 days that would cause serious disruptions.

apparently in Bangkok it's so bad that muggers are accepting IOU's
mugging will deter other potential tourists who might be thinking of visiting thailand. are they bent on killing the goose .......

i hope the 14 odd % that still did visit thailand were monitored closely in view of the COVID-19.
Thailand reports 11 new COVID-19 cases - and wait until you read how the infections occurred
