What do you think about this property.

THere;s no need to be very near the shopping center

Really thank you all for the information regarding this market.

My CHristmas holidays are always in Thailand between Pattaya,Koh Samed and Phuket.

I hope I can find some cloths, bags as same as we can find at the beach strip.

Is there any big difference between this two places in terms of money?

Does it worth a visit?

I drive my car and leave it at one of the docks that offer covered parking and speed boats to he island.

You can probably walk into one of the thousand travel agents in Pattaya and they will arange a van to take you to Ban Phe and pick you up when you are done. Have no idea what the cost, a couple of thousand baht maybe?

Across the street from Asia Hotel, one stop away from Siam City Hotel (which is near BTS Phaya Thai).

Vie Hotel Bangkok now know as Grand Mercure HOtel opening announced for December 2008.

It seems to be close to BTS Ratchathewi station. Can anyone confirm this info?

i stayed here recently and most of it was under construction

Often a resort will schedule its refurbishment / construction work around the low season, i.e. April / May to October. You'd rarely find a resort under construction during the high season unless it's a huge resort undergoing major refurbishment, or things go behind schedule. Isabella, when are you planning to go there? Would be worth contacting them and finding out if the construction will be finished by the time you go. If it's in mid October or later, chances are it probably will be, or it may have finished already.

I've contacted the management and they reply today

' the problem has been solved several months ago.Now we can see some plants and fish in it. We have already talked with our neighbours not to drain their usage water into it.At the moment the condition of the canal is really fine"

Supper-club:

We love it. Great food and very relaxed atmosphere. Staff brilliant with the kids/baby if we take them along. Have enjoyed entertaining clients and friends here without any issue or complaint at all. Menu changes regularly so never boring. Always have special 3 or 4 course deals. Busy at weekends and couldn't get a bed/seat this last Saturday at 9pm. Had to eat in the bar outside the ice bar!!! Could be a 1 off but think it's getting a bit of a following now.

Ice Bar:

500 Baht for 20 minutes, drink as much vodka shots as you can!!! Sounds expensive but actually is great value as it would amaze you how many shots you can drink in that time. Great for a special occasion but may kill you if done regularly!!! Well worth a visit though and don't refuse the jackets and gloves provided, it is absolutely freezing in there......

\\ Hey got a reply from the resort management saying that the problem has been solved several months ago although the condition of the canal is now in the hands of the neighbours to take care.

So hope those neighbours can protect the environment keeping it clean. Can we make a petition?
