Ekkamai bus station to Pattaya = 124 baht. Buses leave every 30 minutes. Travel time about 2 hours.
Thanks. And what about the private car?
i assme you mean taxi.
price depends on where in bangkok you are, and how good your thai skills are.
pay no more than 1500 baht by taxi.
there used to be taxi drivers lounging around at the enterance to sukhumvit soi 5 on the lh side before you get to foodland.
unless you are rich do not get a hotel taxi
I hope I can book the Grand Suhkumvit by Sofitel in Suhkumvit Soi 6.
Is it difficult to get a cab in this area of Bangkok?

There is a better place for it behind MBK - they even order used parts from Japan if needed. I am checking up on it myself and have not visited myself yet. Near MBK is the Pathumwan (so called; Chiangkon market) area and another option is the Laksi area(near old airport). Cheers!
Thanks for your reply FIrefan
Sent you a pm, please do check.
Maybe we get together to visit the market, what do you think?

Hi Isabella i think Firefan is the guy who could help you with this. He just bought a Honda CRX Del Sol few weeks ago . Im sure he will reply
Thanks Tytus.

Can anybody tell me where can I find car parts for HONDA CRX?

Thanks for your reply.
My friend had a bad experience. He got the cab from the airport to Lebua State Tower and suddenly during the trip the taxi driver disconnect the taxi meter and tell him that he should pay more more or less 600 bath. He argued with him.
That's outrageous. Did he pay up? He could have threatened to call the cops. That'd be enough to straighten these daylight robbers.
No and he was asked to go out from the taxi but he ( very heavyweight person) said NO.

When I arrived in Bangkok on 1 November we went down one level from the arrivals level and could have had a taxi straight away, but had to wait because we had 4 passengers and bags, so needed a wagon. I'm not sure if going down a level is a trade secret or something, there was nobody besides us waiting for a taxi and lots of taxis.
Did you go downtown?
If yes how much did you pay?
-
Can we book a taxi at the airport for the return route for instance from the Novotel Bangna Hotel to the airport? How much can it cost? I was offered by the reservation office of the Novotel Bangna a rate of 1,200 for 3 persons either in a van or in private car.
Just wait for a taxi to drop off people at hotel and use that or walk to the street and hail one much cheaper on meter 350 baht max. and you all get in.
At 6am? Is it possible?
-
Thanks for you reply.
Will have a domestic flight at 8:00 am by Bangkok Airways.
I'm in doubt if there;s any taxi near Novotel Bangna

They were taken on a very cloudy day about 18 months ago. I purposely picked one of the bad indoor ones to show the reflections.
Thank you so much for your help/

The buffet is excellent. And you can take photos.
As Eric said probably there are some fences did you happen to see them?
Or any glass?
-
They normally (and secretly) charge farangs double price. The thai price is 350bt last time I went. If you go with a Thai, you have a better chance, which is what I did.
Probable go there if photos are possible and the menu is good.

I enjoyed the buffet, a little pricey but a wide selection of international foods. The observation deck (admission included in buffet price) is really nice. A breathtaking view on a rotating platform. As I recall photos may be obstructed by some sort of fence, but could possibly be taken"through" the fence....I really dont remember. As far as the hotel goes, all the reviews I have read have been less than favorable. A nice place for a night out for dinner....but thats all. Hope that helps.
Eric
Thanks pump/
Besides Sirocco and Vertigo is there any one roof top bar and restaurant that one can take photos without fences?
-
Any reviews?
About the Observation Deck is it possible to take photos without any obstacles/barriers, like in Sirocco or Vertigo?

By BTS+MTR. (Siam Station to ASoke and then interchange to Lumphini by MTR)
or
By BTS+MTRE( Siam Station to Sala Daeng and then interchange to to Lumphini by MTR)
Which exit to go straight to Suam Lung Night Bazar?
THanks
I used the MTR to go there this past weekend and the signs for the Suam Lum Night Bazaar are very well marked when you get off the MTR. The signs will lead you through a tunnel (crossing to the other side) and then up the escalator and you're there. Real easy.
Thank you so much for your great reply
