While I am still getting what I consider to be generally good service from the standard taxis, I won't be using ATT. I would prefer to give my money to an honest, hard-working individual (and yes, I think the majority are), than help fill the coffers of a big corporation.

Try getting a taxi from around Sukhumvit 11 and tell me how many you think are honest. You really need to get out more my friend. These guys are disgusting and I mean the majority.

I very much doubt KFC would try to extort 1000 THB from other chicken vendors. It is more likely the local protection racket (probably ran by the BIB) were trying to supplement their lagging tea money revenues.

If their was any copy write infringement then they would likely go after them the legal way.

Some of the street chicken can be quite tasty but I have read many reports of the dodgy oil they use and re use so I try to stay away from it.

Second, all though I applaud their efforts here, it is hard to believe that in 2015 it it the first time they have charged anyone with refusing a breathalyzer. Why did they give her a suspended sentence? Thailand is #2 in the world for road deaths because drunken idiots like this. They know there is no accountability.

This would have been a great time to set an example for others but they drop the ball by suspending her sentence and charging her 8,000 THB? So she loses her license for 6 months I am sure she will just drive without it anyway.

Make an example of all criminals and publicize the hell out of it.

The odds are with all the people who fall from buildings in Thailand that one or more of them was murder and yet I've never heard one incident where it was proved to be murder. People can be made to write suicide notes under duress and yet the police in this country never seem to be bothered to investigate. As long as there is even a hint it's a suicide then that's how they write it up, CASE CLOSED!

The balconies here are much lower than they are in the west and many farangs are taller so this puts the height of the railing below our center of balance thus making it very easy to fall. I am sure some of these are in fact suicides but many are accidents and many may be assisted as well.
