I have come back to Pattaya from Bangkok for the last 7 or 8 years on the 20th and have not experienced any problems.

I think most people are thoroughly sick of Songkran after the Pattaya chaos on the 19th, so things are pretty much back to normal.

Where can I buy a deck of 52 playing cards?

The Hickory Butcher on Thappraya has them and they look pretty good, but I have not tried them.

Their sandwiches are the best! Very good breakfast as well.

I went into my tiny neighborhood pharmacy and they had it -- both generic and original, so I suspect you can get it anywhere.

I live in VT2A. My condo was build-out about 11 years ago and the electrician who did the wiring found a satisfactory ground somewhere. He ran the ground wire to most of the outlets, but neglected to use three prong outlets! I wish I had noticed it at the time, but there were so many details to look after, I missed this one. I have since properly grounded a number of appliances.

I don't know about the B building which was build earlier, but for sure you'll be able to find a proper ground in A (I live on the 18th floor -- the top).

The Irish contractor who installed my four stage water filter told me not to use the filer in the fridge. He said the water is already completely pure when it hits the fridge and the Samsung filter would do nothing, so I never screwed it in.

I friend who reads Thai reports the sign in front of Welcome World is simply an advertising sign for their Welcome Town location on Pattaya Klang. No shopping center with a Powerbuy on Thappraya Road.

Because it's on a empty piece of land that seems perhaps big enough for such a development. Also, I don't recall there is a Powerbuy on the existing Pattaya Klang Welcome Town location.

Really. I'm the person who read the sign and I can report that it is simply a solicitation for businesses at a newly opened mall called Welcome Town on Pattaya Klang next to Power Buy.

Yes, I saw the large sign this morning!

I remember seeing the sign about the shopping mall when it first went up (the original topic of this thread!), but it's since been removed. There was no longer any sign there yesterday.

I don't believe there are any fast food restaurants in Jomtien. You would have thought a Pizza Hut would do well or maybe a Dunkin Donut. I wonder if maybe the city won't approve such places in Jomtien?

This appears to be temporary as they are repaving the road.

News Steaks and Grill in Jomtien has both Texas hot ribs and braised ribs. Both are quite good I think. They are pricey at 655 baht, but every Monday is two for one (be sure to reserve because it's very popular).

I need to replace a burned out UV lamp in my water filtration system. Nothing at HomeWorks or at Thai Watsadu.

I was there with a Chicago friend last week and he had a deep dish and was disappointed. He said the filling was quite good, but the crust was very hard and almost in-editable (he couldn't even cut it with a knife). But the sandwiches...divine!
