  1. Where in Bangkok can I buy a flag to attach to the front of the car? I want to use it to judge the left edge of the vehicle.

  2. Moonlight is a six month old small, intimate restaurant with great food in a surprising location: the ground floor of View Talay 7 overlooking the swimming pool.

I had dinner there last night with a friend and it was really good. The reviews on Trip Advisor were very positive (I have added mine) so we decided to try it.

If you're looking for a quiet, delightful place to share a wonderful meal with a friend or a lover...this is it! There is no loud music; there are no TVs. The layout affords maximum privacy for each table. The entire ambiance is one of intimacy and elegance, a big surprise considering the location. There are perhaps 10 View Talay buildings in Pattaya and typically the establishments on the main floor are laundries, minimarts or real estate agencies. Moonlight is a very happy exception.

As for the food, it is really good! In my opinion it is on a par with some of the best in Pattaya: Mata Hari and Cafe des Amis. You can find the complete menu at their website: http://www.moonlightpattaya.com/moonlight-cuisine/. It is certainly not for those on a budget, but I think worth every baht.

I can't wait to go back...

  3. "Well, went to this La Monita the other night....and after never being fond of Mexican food...this place was outstanding...."

For someone "never being fond of Mexican food" you seem to have taken a keen interest in this thread, posting 6 replies. How come?

  4. I bought a D-Link DAP-1360 at IT City in Pattaya to extend my Wi Fi into the bedroom and it did the trick. Works great!

Cost? Ease of setting it up and using? Where is IT city?

Any and all details if you dont mind please?

    thanks

It was 1160 baht and as I recall was pretty simple to set up. IT City is on the top floor of TukCom in Pattaya, on the top floor of Pantip Plaza in Bangkok and in Siam Paragon as well.

  5. I believe this is what happens: the city hires one contractor to dig the holes and another to bury the cables. The hole contractor promptly does his job, but cable contractor, for some reason (maybe the city ran out of money, maybe they are waiting for materials) cannot perform yet, so the holes remain. This kind of thing is fairly common here.

  6. I just read today that Hugh Millar has died and the cremation is scheduled for Saturday.

Hugh was a long-time fixture in the Pattaya community as general manager of the Ambiance Hotel, general manager of Manhattan's Steak House and owner of his own restaurant, Symphony. He will be surely missed.

Does anyone know any more details? Was he sick for a long time?
