  1. Hi all, I applied for a tourist visa of 2 months, but the application process was so slow it got processed when I was already on the airplane. Therefor, I my application was cancelled by the consulate in Belgium. It seems they had a serious backlog in processing visa's due to holiday season and computer problems. And now I am left with a issue on how to stay beyond the 30 day visa on arrival. So, my questions are, how can I get another 30 days? 1. Is a visa on arrival extension limited to only 7 days? This is what I figured out but I am not sure if it is up to date information and if it is correct. 2. Is it true that the border crossing is still limited to only 15 days? 3. Any other suggestions, or is flying in and out the only option to get another 30 days? Any help is more than welcome.
  2. Hi all, As a Belgian citizen, I applied for a tourist evisa on the 20th of december. Today, 28th of december, my application is still pending. Knowing that I will arrive on January 3rd in Thailand, I start to stress out. I will stay 2 months. Of course, I could buy a train ticket to go to Laos or another neighboring country and do a "visa run" but out of experience, I have always known that the appliction for a visa is always 1 working day. What is happening? Anybody else having the same experience.
  3. Legalize cannabis will attract all kind of figures. To the point that the Thais will start to hate the farang. It's a sad truth.
  4. I want to keep you all informed that I got a message from the Embassy they will allow Belgian citizens to apply for a tourist visa through the e-visa website beginning of December. This will solve my issue. But I know this is freaking out many people!
  5. Dear guys, Just want to share my experience. I'm a Belgian citizen and after the news on Friday, I decided to book a ticket, arrival January 4th 2022, return flight 3nd of March 2022. As this is longer than the regular 30 day Visa on Arrival, I try to apply for a tourist visa. Surprise, surprise: due to the covid situation, you are required to book an appointment with the embassy. I'm taking things so much in advance, 2 months and 1 week in advance. No appointment bookings possible before beginning of January?????? I cannot believe it. Then I try to find out more about what is going on. On the Thai embassy of The Netherlands, they specified that you can do an e-visa application starting from end of November. But I have no news about Belgium. I tried to do an e-visa on https://www.thaievisa.go.th/ and it just tells I'm not eligible to apply through the e-visa system. I have to go to the Thai Consulate. I'm not sure what will happen now. Do any of you guys have any more information on this issue. Who applies for a visa, 2,5 months in forehand? This is totally crazy. What are the rules now for the Visa on Arrival. Some websites indicate that this is now 45 days? Is it true? If it is the case, can I extend this Visa on Arrival? Anyone has any idea's on this issue?
  6. This guy should start a fund-me campaign so he can bring it to the constitutional court. I think the funding program will certainly do well, because it concerns about all of us and the ruling is very much having an impact on us being considered second class citizens in Thailand. It opens the path for any kind of financial discrimination of any kind by who ever wants to do this to foreigners. This ruling really puts me on hold to retire in Thailand. This is opening the path to legalized financial corruption at the highest possible level and should be appealed in court.
