Check Facebook to make sure. I got info via friends info as he's got a 09.
Where do you see the price of the tracer? I only see the regular FZ-09 and the street rally bike.

So this started yesterday, going until Sunday 1st.
All the usual suspects are there, and also Ural and Indian.
Urals are around 900K baht. Long live import tax.
MV Agusta brought the new Dragster, yes the one with the spoked wheels, and it is only 1.29 million
KTM didn't bring a lot, but there is the new RC200.
Honda, same old, same old, and same for Kawasaki and Suzuki.
Yamaha brought new colours of the FZ-09. Don't know if they had ABS, too many people there.
No Harley or Triumph.
Lots of shops, but same as other years.
A lot of people there yesterday, so only had a quick look around.
Will be going back on Saturday when they have the custom bikes weekend.

It was ironic that the camera man on his cheap and small Russian bike made a better job of it than the two on the BMW's.
Wasn't he on a BMW also?
BMW Motorrad's support was integral to the success of Long Way Roundand Long Way Down. Ewan, Charley and their cameraman, Claudio Von Planta, were given three special-edition Enduro R1150 GS Adventure all-terrain motorcycles - designed and engineered for long distances and off-road terrain. BMW offered considerable technical help and practical riding equipment to Ewan McGregor, Charley Boorman and their support team. The BMW GS celebrates its '30 Years GS' as the most successful BMW model series ever.

You obviously haven't seen "Long Way Round'Actually it is better bike than Tiger. My personal taste has nothing to do with the reality.
What basically makes people think Triumph is better bike is that it might have existed for a long while or a British brand. Who knows!
Do you know any winner team in MotoGP or Dakar Rally with Triumph? No.. The answer is simple; it comes to being strong and durable under heavy conditions.
Triumph is nostalgia now
As I said, its era has passed and still getting credit out of its name and long term existance but no credit for quality & durability.
As you said, everybody has their own personal opinion. This is mine. I still like to see Triumph or any other brands and models on the street. Variety is always good.
They were on BMW's.
I don't get it.

Really? You are getting stingy on oil?
This is one of the most important components to keep your engine running.
Why don't you just go to Tesco and get some palm oil? Much cheaper.

I got an SJ4000. Very happy with it. Lots of videos about it on Youtube.
Good thing is, all the GoPro accessories also fit the SJ4000

Does the 139K include insurance and registration?

My last sliders for the 500 had 3 mounting points too, but apparently there was too much tension at one of the points and the whole bolt broke while riding.
Oh yeah, it was one of the bolts carrying the engine.
Big Wing Chiang Mai didn't have a replacement bolt, so I had to ride it back to BKK like that, they guaranteed me it would me fine, luckily it was and Big Wing BKK fixed it.
What grade bolt - 8.8 or 10.9 ?
Did it thread into the aluminum case itself ? Or was it a thru bolt with a nut on the other end ?
No idea about the grade of the bolt.
As far as I remember it went through.

Has anyone found any decent quality locally made frame sliders for this bike at a reasonable price? I put some original Yoshi ones on another bike, but they weren't cheap.
RSV Racing one is the strongest and a lot durable. Their parts for 650 series are well designed and their workmanship is OK.
I also use this model as it has three mounting points which makes it stronger. Before got a slider with only one mount point and it gets broken and fell down while riding the bike!, due to vibrations i guess.
Set is 3000 thb

K-speed already modified one

They should just get their act together by May/June, because that's when I will be walking in their showroom
-
Check out Rider's Corner in Chiang Mai, I think they might be able to give you more info.
-
Have you ever ridden in Tak? Pothole central, but that could also be said of the road from Nakhon Panom to Nong Khai.
Oh yeah, don't forget the Bang Na - Trat frontage road. And we could add the road along the Cambodian border in Surin.
Too many to name, will take a while to fix it all.
But no bad words about Pranburi, like a racetrack down there.

I thought the Dunlops on my 500F were fine. They lasted 13K kms and I had no complaints.
Of course I felt the difference when the Angels were put on my bike :-)
-
I sat on it and felt very cramped and I am only 175 cm (5'9").
-
I don't think they will sell hundreds of XCX's, so delivery time will be fine.
-
Isn't it illegal to ride on the road as long as they don't register the bike? It also means you are riding without por ror bor, the standard government insurance.
I always thought they had to register it as soon as it was sold.

At a million baht I will never own one, unless I win the lottery
Overpriced like so many bikes, the new MV Agusta Dragster will be 1.3 million, the current one is "only" 1.1 million.
I talked to the foreign sales guy and at the moment there are 104 Agusta's on the streets of Thailand, the 2 million baht F4 RR being the most popular.
He told me the buyers are not real riders, just taking their bikes to Thonglor on Friday night.
They are however thinking about opening an assembly plant in Thailand so they can lower their prices.
So maybe in a couple of years we see Agusta's at "normal" prices here.

That is the first thing I noticed too when I sat on it, the rear suspension is very very soft. But nothing that can be changed, I guess.
-
Its only the fully legal ( green book ) models im after , ie , 450 EXC-F (enduro) at 535,000 Baht , compared to a 450SX-F (motocross) at 459,000 Baht. KTM , Chiang Mai , can get both , and the Freeride - trials type bike - officially. Im expecting (hoping) the prices will be reduced when the asean agreement starts to have an impact on trade / import taxes.
India is not part of the ASEAN, so I wouldn't be expecting any changes there.

Good news keeps coming.

Just out of curiosity, where are you going?
Thailand is not that big, if you starts in say BKK you can be in Changmai same day or Phuket if you goes south.
An acttrative price for a buyer can normally be had when the seller is desparate to get rid of his bike, needing money, leaving Thailand or whatever.
Well you don't sound desparate so enjoy your trip on the Zed and keep the rubber side down.
It will be a trip up to Prachup Kiri khan, then maybe Surat Thani! I'm not desperate to sell just concerned about practicality of a sport bike on a long trip!
First you want to go touring and now you talk about a two hour ride.
Keep the bike.

There already is a thread about this
