  1. Hey, Insurance companies, welcome to reality. Thailand's restaurants, small and large businesses, bars, pub, and individuals all went bust during COVID. They got little or no recourse from the government. So suck it up, if you go belly-up it's a weeding out process of the weak. You gambled on COVID and you lost; just think of all the restrictions the Thai government put on Farangs and what dud Thai insurance company polices we had to acquire.
  2. Maybe some useful information on legal requirements for originations in Thailand to report data security breaches. DATA BREACH REPORTING UNDER THE THAILAND PDPA Extract: If the data breach IS likely to result in a risk to the rights and freedoms of data subjects, then the controller must report the breach to the PDPC within 72 hours of becoming aware of it. Not saying it will help you with any legal aspects, but possibly you can rattle the hotel's chain and request reimbursement, or you're going to report them for PDPA violation of non-compliance to report a security breach issue. When PDPA is enforced but not complied with What penalties will there be? Failure to comply with the PDPA will be penalized for non-compliance. There are 3 types of Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) as follows: Civil penalty Civil penalties are required to indemnify the owner of the personal data that was damaged by the infringement. and may be required to pay additional compensation for additional punitive damages up to 2 times the actual damages. Must pay compensation to the owner of the personal data in the amount of 100,000 baht, the court may order a penalty for punitive damages 2 times the actual damages equal to having to pay all the fines in the amount of 3 hundred thousand baht Criminal penalties Criminal penalties include both imprisonment and a fine, with a maximum imprisonment of not more than 1 year or a fine of not more than 1 million baht, or both. The maximum penalty is imposed on non-compliance with the PDPA in respect of the use of data. or disclose information or send data transfers to foreign countries Types of sensitive personal data (Sensitive Personal Data). In the case if the offender is a company (juristic person), they may wonder who will be jailed. because the company cannot go to jail In this section, it may fall to the executives, directors or people responsible for the operations of that company who will be punished by imprisonment instead. Administrative penalty Fines range from 1 million baht to a maximum of 5 million baht, of which a maximum fine of 5 million baht will be a case of non-compliance with the PDPA in the use of information. or disclose information or transferring data to other countries of the category of sensitive personal data (Sensitive Personal Data). This administrative penalty is separate from compensation for damages arising from civil penalties and criminal penalties. For what it's worth?
  3. You can't fix stupid! I see it every single day on the roads and highways; blind monkey mania and madness. I often wonder why are so many Thai drivers so absolutely brain-dead.
  4. Useless statement unless the report and sample levels of all beaches attached. Went to their site but could not see any reports.
  5. Joe, Interesting information about auto approval your information gives rise to mine and others personal experience. I took the advise of others and submitted the application with the identical information three times. First two submissions were rejected, the third one was approved. The form field information I inserted was exactly as it was for my last 5 annual Non-O Imm visa renewals and every electronic and manual 90 day report for 5 years. So in summary IMHO keep submitting it until your application is approved or hopefully you get a personal email from Imm with a rejection reason you can address. As Imm now have your contact email address, no reason why they can't communicate with you.
  6. Folks positive news, thanks to those for their suggestions of submitting the 90-Day Online report numerous times. After two failed rejections my third attempt was successfully approved. Same information supplied on all three occasions. Not sure, it will work for everyone, but keep submitting it until successful or giving it up as a lost cause. Again, many thanks to those that suggested this brilliant approach. "Energy and persistence conquer all things."
  7. Dude, you just made my day and memories of pre March 2020 just came flooding back! Thanks so much.
  8. Not really; Deep Learning technology can eat this stuff up in a heartbeat.
  9. Thanks, as I said I am not the smartest tool in the tool-shed, but please re-read my post! Logged in and submitted my 90-Day information of all fields as per previous TM 47 online and manual reports - Success
  10. LoL, if you have lived or worked here long enough you know how the system is worked. For a price everything can just disappear and it all fades off into the never never land.
  11. Yes, I know some of you have had success, but it's those submitted that have failed that are the burning issue. My Experience: 1. Followed the registration steps as required - Success 2. Logged in and submitted my 90-Day information of all fields as per previous TM 47 online and manual reports - Success 3. Email notification received report successfully - Success 4. Checked the status "Pending" - Success 5. Next morning new email, "Your application for"STAYING LONGER THAN 90 DAYS" has been rejected. - Failure OMG %^$%&^%&%^*&^*^&*^%&*^&(**&(*&(*&(*&(&*(*&*(^&*^&* I want to scream! No error code or explanation of why it was rejected? 6. For further information regarding The 90-day Notification Report Service. Please contact the Immigration Branch Office in your residence area. Contact Who? Every time I have gone down this road previously no resolution! Past Experiences Talk to Imm officers at CW; application not work! Sent emails to IMM Division 1 CW; first reply forwarded to appropriate people; follow-up emails no reply! Called the hotline 1178 for days, gave up after busy continuously or on-hold for 30-45 mins! Context: My local immigration office is CW Applied online 12 days out before the due expiration date of my current stay! Have not had a successful online application approved (old system) since May 2020 Prior to that, I had the previous 5 online application approved (old system) I have had to have all my 90-day reports processed manually at CW post Aug 2020 The Imm old iPhone App indicates currently indicates I am 253 days Overstay (which is BS) - suspect the issue for rejection? IMHO these people that designed the software and the associated business processes have little or no idea how to build successful online business solutions. I am not the smartest tool in the tool-shed but within a month based on what I have seen any good experienced solution architect and business process manager worth their salt could knock up a customized off-the-shelf software solution and associated integrated business processes framework (including a manned human help desk, rejection reason codes / explanation feedback, FAQ, an online help -chat / support feature and software IT application support personnel to fix issues and of course a feedback and suggestions link) that are all required to build out something Thai Imm just continuously fails to deliver on. Look at the number of restarts they have had on this software solution. There's no excuse; it's not rocket science!

  13. Maybe he should procure one of these emergency stop devices for the next time his brakes fail... 5555
  14. Re "The PEA website does not appear to have a Customer Feedback link so we can explain our issue." Welcome to Thailand my son, you will find this issue on numerous Thailand services providers sites. "All care and no responsibility" motto; as a Farang that's just the way life is here in many cases. You might get to the end game eventually; but dropping a brown paper bag on the right desk will certainly expedite resolution of your issue.
  15. Man, are you hiding under a rock. https://nypost.com/2021/10/17/nyc-subway-crime-has-50-increase-due-to-thefts/
  16. I think you missed the point entirely, it's the background services that are faulty, not the presentation layer. There is a lack of real-time synchronization between the information held by the Immigration system and the information held by the online 90 days online (both new and old) reporting systems. Just look at the number of posts where it was rejected on the new system (same as the old system) because of false overstays notifications; I rest my case.
  17. Yep, same old problem; Imm 90 day reporting records and Online 90 day reporting records are not synced. Nothing seems to have changed from this experience; exactly the same problem I had with the old online system. Kept telling me I overstayed by 163 days at one point, which was absolute rubbish, as I had to have them processed manually at CW each time and always on time. New system may look fancy but suspect same old, same old rubbish under the covers.
  18. Just always love all the effort that goes into their presentations; it's all about show here in Thailand.
  19. For those interested in why [email protected] emails are being routed to your spam / junk folders I have attached some analysis. IMHO just poor email management setup by Immigration IT staff and / or their vendors. It's a little techie, but if you read the key points you are stuck with this issue until they resolve it. 20. Got to think, why a revised Imm 90 day reporting application that wants to now register but really suffers from the same old restrictions as the previous system. (I am a little suspicious here!) "It should also be noted that the online 90 day reporting system can not be used if a foreigner is completing their first 90 day report, nor can it be used to complete the first 90 day report after receiving a new passport" and I suspect the same for lost passport replacements, travel out of Thailand and return .....and others I have not considered. The above restrictions on this revised application just show what antiquated logic these people have in designing a software solution. I know something is better than nothing but "C'mon on Man; You Know the Thing" There should be real-time data linkage between the two systems (Immigration Visa and Online 90 Day reporting) Now we are required to register, the Imm Online 90 Day form should be pre-populated with all the applicant's real-time data from the Immigration Visa system. If any prepopulated form fields can not be filled in a specific error code should be generated with a link for the applicant to contact an Imm help desk to assist in resolving the issue based on the unique error code. If the applicants prepopulated data fields are not correct, again there should be another link for the applicant to challenge the incorrect form information via a help desk link. The other issues are the system appears not to scale; it's obvious from first experiences it can't currently handle heavy loads. There are always teething issues with the new software as demonstrated here, but most could have been mitigated with better end-user testing; having developers and designers as IU testings suffers from tunnel vision. Unfortunately, they are so blindsided by their own self-confidence and abilities they will suffer ongoing issues by not having reached out and engaging real end-users to trial the software before going live. To improve the productivity of Imm Online 90 Day reporting you have to generate confidence in the application and ensure it is Reliable, Resilient and Robust. If they took the time to think through the cost benefit analysis of doing it right the ROI would be, less human traffic at Immigration offices, less paperwork to manage, more productive use of Imm staff, less chance of spreading COVID in crowded Imm offices, improved service levels and confidence by foreigners in Imm services. "Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result is just insane".
  21. I know it early days, so I won't sandbag it yet; but it does not scale or is out for maintenance already. Interesting, an out of the blue NEW solution, or MAYBE just a patched up old solution. Mutton dressed up as lamb!
