Neither unhelpfull nor helpfull just confusing but thanks for the apology

The RCBO has either failed and needs immediate replacement or it is wired incorrectly and needs immediate checks and rewiring. This system has been in place for 8 years at least and was fine so I don't think it was wired incorrectly - but I have been away for a few years (Covid) - no telling what the GF has had done whilst I was away of course she says "nothing". I also read that this fault can be caused by a N-E fault whatever that means.

Funny how one thing leads to another. Black and Grey meter at 230V All cables have appear to have continuity BUT shorting Red with other two (one by one) fails to trip the box. (my way to test it was an earth cable) SO being a careful person I then checked the box using the test button - nothing!! Any suggestion as to why this might be occuring.
-
Yes Crossy used to have a link to his piece on colour coding but now it doesn't seem to work.
-
Sure your logic is correct - but it's a moulded plug so short of continuity testing each cable ( I am still waiting for Shoppe to deliver a new meter - see other post) and I just asked if anyone had seen this colour combination before.
-
You would think that Lazada and Shoppee would try to address this issue. After all in the end it's their reputation at stake as they are the gateway to all these services/ Or do they think it's a true case of "shoot the messenger not the sender"!

I just cut a moulded 3 pin Thai plug cable and I see the following inner cable colours grey, black - probably live and neutral eh BUT third inner cable RED I would assume this is EARTH = but assumptions can kill you (or at least trip the system). Has any one encountered this color combination before?

So here is the question - is there any way to tell when you place an order on Shoppee if it will be Kerry or flash or Shoppee's motorcycle delivery? Can anyone answer that part of my original post
-
Yes me too but no missed calls on her phone. And account in her name
-
Yes, I have problems with Shoppee when Kerry does the delivery - This week I ordered something the delivery date was 12/12 Kerry didn't deliver and claimed to have called the mobile number (no missed calls) same again 13/12 and 14/12 nothing at all. This is not the first time Kerry has failed to deliver on time - if it eventually arrives I will refuse the delivery and order from Lazada. That said Shoppee motorcycle delivery is usually fine. So here is the question - is there anyway to tell when you place an order on Shoppee if it will be Kerry or Shoppee's motorcycle delivery?

Thanks Sheryl and Lorry All very confusing - it seems that I didn't get what I asked for - here is the full setup: Lower abdomen: Ax T2W, T1 FS+Gd Prostate: Ax, Sag, Cor Obi thin slice FSE T2W; Ax T1W thin slice Ax DWI at b = 50, 400, 800, 1200 mm2/sec DCE-MRI at the prostate T1 FS+Gd in 3 planes. However there does seem to be a lot of people out there referring to this type of scan as "multiparametric". Wrongly it would seem. I don't know whether to be miffed or not as the analysis gave me virtually the same result as the UK scan 14 months ago which I also guess may not have been "multiparametric".
-
Well I asked for and asked for confirmation that I was getting a multi parametric MRI Here is an extract from the report DCE-MRI at the prostate T1 FS+Gd in 3 planes. Not being an expert I don't know if "3 planes" is multiparametric but as I said virtually identical result to my UK scan which was also allegedly "multiparametric"

Update Got a scan in Korat at Bangkok Hospital. For anyone looking at the post it cost around 11,000 Baht - done within a week (In the UK it was free but I had to wait 3 months to get it). Result showed no change in size of possible cancer from the UK result 14 months ago.

Cheer up! Life expectancy for 80 year old UK male: https://www.ons.gov.uk/peoplepopulationandcommunity/healthandsocialcare/healthandlifeexpectancies/articles/lifeexpectancycalculator/2019-06-07 93 years 1 in 4 chance 96 years 1 in 10 chance 100 years 2.7% chance But really it's not about quantity it's about quality - so if you feel OK enjoy it whilst you can!

Yes me too - my first involvement with computers was the Apple II -if you know what that was -(around 1975). I built PCs as a business for many years. You are missing the point - I just wanted to discuss the fact that with the fast changing IT environment it's often very difficult for consumers to know what they are actually going to get. They can get all the official info from the manufacturer's site (the links I included in the original post) BUT when you come to buy from the seller they don't know/care/understand they just want to make a sale.- and that's true whether it's JIB, Advice, Lazada ...... In any event I now know the 64MB cache has product code WD40PURZ and the 240 MB cache WD42PURZ - The retailer I ordered from advertises the item I ordered as WD40PURZ but in conversation he was not able to to confirm the the code so I cancelled the order. That's my last post on this subject I will leave you "professionals" alone from now on.

I am afraid that is not true - even the distributors don't know if it's a CMR or SMR because the disks aren't marked and the shop staff don't know

The HDD market is a minefield This post isn’t about whether SMR or CMR hard disk technology is best nor indeed whether I should be using CCTV hard disks in my NAS – it’s about getting the information you need from manufacturers and suppliers to be able to be sure you are purchasing what you want. Some years ago WD amongst others silently introduced a new HDD technology called SMR cohabiting with the existing technology of CMR. SMR is cheaper to produce but evoked a furious debate about its silent method of introduction and indeed WD were fined millions of dollars over this issue. https://www.tomshardware.com/news/wd-moves-to-settle-smr-hdd-false-advertising-class-action-lawsuit The debate over the two technologies continues. It is generally accepted that CMR is better for RAID installations. https://www.howtogeek.com/803276/cmr-vs.-smr-hard-drives-whats-the-difference/ So as talked about in a previous post I had decided to upgrade the HDDs my NAS as cheaply as I could. On researching I found that WD purples all had CMR technology See attachment below I ordered a pair at a good price. I was then looking at another WD site and suddenly found this https://www.westerndigital.com/en-ie/products/internal-drives/wd-purple-sata-hdd#WD40PURZ From this it appears that there are two versions of a 4TB WD purple one with a 64 MB cache (generally recognised as being indicative of CMR technology) and one with 256MB cache (generally recognised as being indicative of SMR technology). Also the price difference seems to confirm one is SMR and the other CMR Subsequently I came across this url: https://www.westerndigital.com/products/internal-drives/wd-purple-sata-hdd#WD42PURZ Here only the 256 MB cache is available! It also appears that only the 4TB has an SMR option, or is the 4TB just the thin end of the wedge for the whole range. I immediately contacted my supplier (his website clearly said 64MB cache for what I ordered BUT knowing Asia as I do I asked him to confirm SMR or CMR) – of course he didn’t know what on earth i was asking. Hopefully, I have cancelled the order. After I get out of the asylum on Monday - back to square one on my search for competitively priced HDDs. All I can say is in the area of HDDs and getting what you want - BUYER BEWARE
