But Trump can, or should, also shoulder some of the blame for what happened as he was the one who pressured the Afghan's to release over 5.000 Taliban prisoners who then took part in the overthrow of the the existing Afghan government which, Lt. Gen. H.R. McMaster described as "we threw the Afghans under the bus on the way out".
