SUKHOTHAI: -- A joint raid by food and drug administration officials and police in Sukhothai yesterday revealed a large operation dealing in fake slimming supplements.

The raid in a rented house in the Ban Suan area turned up 1,000 boxes and 500,000 pills of the brand MIZME. They were all fake.

Some 20 staff were preparing the merchandise for distribution via Facebook.

Arrested was Pornpimon Ratanarom, 51, who faces jail after four serious charges were leveled.

She was charged with operating a factory without a license, producing fake food products, conducting false advertising and producing, importing or distributing fake products.

She could be jailed for up to ten years.

Diet pills/tea are a great way to separate mugs from their money. Years after Oz's own Peter Foster has been "retired" we still see slimming tea advertised.

Slimming Tea is free...just drink the water from the tap in Siem Reap
