Alf Witt
Does anyone have any knowledge or experience in registering a typical 30 year ++ land lease in the name of an offshore company (BVI for example)? Is there any legal obstacle to this. What documentation, if any, is required to be presented other than the lease and are Thai translations required? Thank you. Alf Witt
Still waiting for words of wisdom. In the meantime, here is a supplementary question; What about registering a house (ie the structure - not the land) as owned by an offshore company? Any experience or information regarding this, please?

Nawtilus
not me, but have wondered the same myself. Even moreso, how about ownership of the land in a bvi for example company that has little to no reporting requirements ??
Gary A
I think the reason there are no answers is because no one sees any reason NOT to put it in your name to start with.

Any experience or information regarding this, please? No problem registering a 30 year lease in the name of a foreign juristic person, like bvi company. Can have some tax benifits. Need copies (notarized) company docyuments, minutes of meeting, maybe poa. Foreign juristic persons have basically the same rights as natural persons, cannot own land, can lease and own structures. Alf Witt
Thanks Oracle. Presumably the documents need to be notarized in the country of origin? Are Thai translations required?
