PM eyes increasing people’s access to research works

BANGKOK, 20 September 2017 (NNT) – The Prime Minister has emphasized the necessity of providing the public with easier access to research works as a way of promoting national development further.

While presiding over the meeting of the National Research and Innovation Policy Council, Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha stated that the main agenda of the meeting was to promote coordination between the government and relevant organizations in supporting the growth of research in Thailand.

In this regard, the premier said the government has set two goals. The first is to create new innovations based on what have already been done while the other is to find ways to ensure easier and more affordable access to research works for all people, especially those in the agricultural sector.

In parallel with national development, Gen Prayut noted that the government is striving to push forward research by integrating efforts between public and private sectors, paving the way for effective budgeting, funding and fruitful research projects.

Only certain types of research, of course.  Objective political and historical research of Thailand from 1932 to present will be off-limits.

Pretty rad idea but how about increasing people's access to basic human rights like choosing the leaders of their country?
