The Finance Ministry will continue to locate the remaining hidden properties of former prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra and submit its findings to the Legal Execution Department to carry out the seizure.

Finance permanent secretary Somchai Sujjapongse said Wednesday (Sept 27) that the ministry had recently submitted its updated report about Ms Yingluck’s assets to the LED, but he declined to give the details.

Ms Yingluck was ordered by an ad hoc panel to pay the state 35 billion baht in compensation for the loss from the rice pledging scheme.

Yes as I recall, the law is called "Finders keepers!"

Yep, Open Season on anything remotely related to the Shin family.  What hasn't already been  spirited out of country or sold off.

Ah, shouldn't they have done that, months ago, oh my, what a bunch! Good luck in the Virgin Islands and in Panama...

Try to get into 'Amply Rich' holding, just to name one of the Shins' 'tax avoidance' 'vehicles', or where her share into Temasek Singapore is kept into, for instance...

Should have the balls to seize the family's(!) real estate fortune as collateral, won't happen, I know...

The 'looting game' rather seems to be closed now, for the Shins, IMO.

Lasted well over a decade, which is a quite short time to have amassed Billions of USD, ...honestly, I mean, wouldn't you say?

About Minny and Jeremy?

One of my friends knows the Shinawatras and especially Thaksin personally. He once said to me: "Dr. Thaksin is probably the smartest Thai ever to be born. Sadly he never did anything for Thailand, only for his own pockt, but still... he IS the smartest Thai! Compare that with his sister that could not even learn English while studying in US!"

It say something about Thai politics when a former MP for PTP makes a comment like that about the then leader of the party/prime minister and her brother!

Yes they new their day in the sun would be short so they grabbed what they could and showed the old guard that they could do it just like them. So out came the Army twice. Apart from the pcycopathic war on drugs I kinda liked how their behaviour reflected the reality of Thai politics and the beliefe in the entilment of looting the public purse. Now it seems to be the turn of those in uniform, who will be handing power back to the establishment soon, won't they?
