BANGKOK, 28 September 2017 (NNT) – The Deputy Prime Minister has stated that all sectors have carefully prepared their responsibilities to take care of the general public during the royal cremation ceremony.

Deputy Prime Minister Gen. Prawit Wongsuwan chaired a meeting of the committee for security and traffic for the royal cremation of His late Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej and disclosed that he will ensure safety and conveniences for all the Thai people nationwide who are attending His late Majesty King Rama IX's royal cremation ceremony.

It is expected that everything will go smoothly. The Joint Administration Center will be set up at the Ministry of Defense from 1 October 2017 onwards and all matters will be taken care of.

However, security measures are confirmed to be fully ready. It has already been estimated that about 250,000 people will enter the royal plaza, and even if actual figures exceed this number, some people will have to participate at the replicas of the royal crematorium around Bangkok instead.
