A tuk-tuk driver was killed when a speeding big bike crashed into his vehicle in Prachin Buri’s Phanom Sarakham district on Sunday evening, police said.

The accident happened at 7pm on the Phanom Sarakham -Prachin Buri Road near PT petrol station in Ban Rai village, Tambon Bang Song.

Dul Panchoon, 60, died at the scene. His tuk-tuk was badly damaged and overturned on the roadside.

Police said Patiwat Nanthawej, 29, who drove the Honda CBR 650cc motorcycle, was severely injured and rushed to the Phanom Sarakham Hospital.

Police checked footage from a CCTV camera at the spot and found the motorcycle speeding when it crashed into the tuk-tuk, which was crossing the road at the spot.

Just had a Halleluleja moment! Don´t cross the street.

It is not just the bad driving that is a problem, the actual road design can be a contributing factor.

A nice pointing picture though...

?

R.I.P Dul Panchoon. Condolences to family and friends.

Those tuk-tuks can turn on a dime.

Often without the idiot in it looking.

Caught me one time, luckily not going too fast. Bust ankle, sore shoulder and damaged fairings only.
