Banning the sale of amulets or Buddha images on temple grounds has taken toll on several temples with some reporting drop in revenues, while some saying they are not affected.

One of the affected temples is Wat Phra Sri Mahathat in Phitsanulok province.

The temple reported a daily drop of 80,000 baht in amulet sales which might put difficulties on the temple ‘s spendings for its monks and novices.

Are they temples or are they businesses?

Mai pen rai!

Maybe the populace have figured out they don't work. Expect new PM promotional song or poem about the benefits of budhist protectional amulets soon

Sacre blue! This is a tragedy.  A daily 80,000 baht drop in the great amulet scam. Hopefully this will increase as people wake up to themselves.

In the meantime the monks will have to get their act together and sharpen their scam skills. Or they could lean on the monk who won all the money in the lottery.

They have to look for an amulet who protects them against a drop in profit ...

If they ( the temples ) stopped funding Phones, expensive stuff Monks buy ( seen them in Udon ) then the revenue would not be required.

Never seen a Buddha statue with a phone have you ????????????
