A religious ceremony to mark one year of the passing of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej will be held at Government House on Oct 13.

The ceremony, chaired by Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha, will include a monk prayer and offerring of alms for 89 monks in front of the Santi Maitree Building.

Starting 2am on Friday (Oct 6), Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) officials and volunteers dismantled tents and cleared up the area around Sanam Luang after the last group of people paid respects to the late King in the Grand Palace.
