Thai woman suspects foul play at Bangkok ATM

An ATM customer getting money out of a machine called the bank after suspecting that an overhead camera was recording her pin number.

 

She thought there was foul play so she photographed the scene and posted a warning on Facebook on the page of "Dah Santanit".

 

She said that the camera did not seem to be pointing out or around the area but directly at the keyboard of the machine.

 

The bank later told her they had sent some staff to adjust the direction of the camera.

It really looks like a webcam somebody just put there. I wouldn´t use that banks ATM, or any other services from them. Seems very low budget and suspicious.

Um, now about telling peeps in the article WHICH bank's ATM she was using and where it was???

I don't think I'd go anywhere near that machine. Looking at it, it looks like it was made in Somchai's Welding and ATM Repair Shop. 

Can't tell the bank but the Sanook article references "Kb". 

It seems as well that the person who posted the photos has since deleted them and any mention of the ATM from her timeline.

Colour of ATM should give you a clue.

No idea which branch, but the bank is evidenced. Don't remember ever seeing a camera situated like that, though.

Flee the Thai ATM's if you can !!!....withdraw cash from the counter and you have the all inclusive flirt with the busty cutie behind her desk !!

or in this case some fingernail polish on the lens..................certainly looks like a 'fly by night' ATM machine to me..............wouldn't let my card get anywhere near it.
