For foreigners who are in Thailand, especially in Bangkok, during the Royal Cremation of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej which is scheduled for October 25-29, following information might be useful and help you better understand what will happen in Thailand during this special occasion.

 

1.Schedule  

 

The process of the Royal Cremation will last five days from 25 to 29 October 2017.

 

Thursday, 26 October, will be the Royal Cremation Day, and it has been declared a public holiday by the Cabinet to allow the people to take part in paying a final tribute to His Majesty the late King.

Very well thought plan and ceremony. I sincerely hope all will go on wothout interuption of any kind. Also very good information to tourist visiting the country at this specific time.

It will be a truly sad day as most Thai's now living , he is the only king that they knew. and loved.
